Stopped here by chance, absolutely the best, proper transport cafe, staff are extremely friendly and professional, the food is to die for, and very reasonably priced for what you get, cant recommend this cafe enough, if your passing, DONT!___ call in instead you won't regret it. Family friendly, hardly any wait for food.
Great food and clean place. Very convenient and we were even allowed to have our well behaved furry baby (dog called MaggieMay) under our table. Only certain areas are allowed for customers with their furry babies.
Been using this place for 30 years and it's absolutely brilliant. Great home cooking at cheap prices. Huge portions too. Skip the services up the road and go here instead
Perfect for hungry truck drivers good variety including some local sourced produce and nice friendly staff. Restaurant always clean and tidy. New shop recently opened off the forecourt. Also power wash available for trucks. Not the biggest truck parking area but secure, haven't used overnight so don't know parking fees
The highest compliment I could pay this place is by saying that for years I have been driving past here on my way back down from Scotland to have my nights out at Truckhaven but after staying here for the first time today I can proudly say that I have been wrong for all of this time. J38 Truckstop is by far one of the best truckstops in the country. £22.50 parking gets you a £10 food voucher with a free shower. The place is spotless throughout. The showers are spacious with their own sink, toilet, hand dryer and mop to clean up after yourself for the next person. The shop is brilliant, full of great local produce and the food being served in the cafeteria is fantastic and fairly priced. Unfortunately for the other competition around this stretch of the M6 they have just lost a customer but I’m glad to say that you have not only just gained one but I shall be singing my praises to all of my colleagues at work too.

Breakfast was disappointing. It looked lovely and there was plenty of it. The problem was that it wasn't very warm, All the other facilities are top notch
Feels like a place from a horror film. Half of it was closed off and the toilets are impossible to find. You end up walking into a shop from 'The Hills Have Eyes'! But it was clean and tidy so can't complain too much!
Great food, although food service very slow on this occasion meaning the breakfast items weren't as hot as they usually are. Very clean and the new shop is lovely, with lots of local produce and goods available.

Top marks for Jct38 personally think one of the best Truck stops in the UK. Great food great staff and since they have upgraded toilets and showers definitely one of the best. They also have a disability access toilet and shower facility which very few trucks-tops offer. Well done JCT38 👍👍👍😍

Really good truck stop, secure parking and at a reasonable cost. £22.50 for parking, a voucher for shower and £10 meal voucher. Loads of options for food with that meal voucher too, anything from curry to pies to fish and chips. Definitely be aiming to stop here again if I’m in the area.
Always been a great place for fuel and meals and as from today it’s also a fantastic farm shop or mini-Tebay Services.

This the first time I've stopped here. I usually wait till Lesmahagow but I was starving today so thought I'd give it a try. Not only is it probably as good as any truckstop open today, the prices are not excessive and the staff are friendly and helpful. Fish and chips with peas, two rounds of bread and coffee for not much more than a tenner is pretty good anywhere these days and it was top notch. They welcome motorcycles too which is always a plus point. In fact they welcome anybody. Will be back.
Great place, excellent. Same superb quality of food as Tebay, same company but predominantly for trucks, lovely staff. Great parking for caravan. Don't got to Tebay if you are towing stop here.
