I have just had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon Hen Tea Party at the Vintage tea rooms at Tealby. The food as always was exceptional and met the needs of all my family and friends and the service was impeccable too. The setting was beautiful despite the rain and we weren't rushed to finish either with it being a special occasion. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work today it was very much appreciated. Xxx
Absolutely amazing afternoon tea, lovely setting and fabulous staff. Highly recommended. A hidden :)
Myself and my Wife being very partial to a Cream Tea , The Vintage Tearoom with it's Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, never fails to deliver a pleasurable experience. No big frills, but China cups and real tea (not bagged) Lovely
Treated a friend and I to Mother's Day afternoon tea as neither of us were seeing our children this weekend. Delicious food, pretty surroundings and attentive staff - couldn't eat all of the cake so a box was quickly and cheerfully supplied and we were able to carry it home safely for our supper...
We came for the Christmas afternoon tea fab place excellent service delicious food beautifully served definitely will be returning thank you
Lovely pot of tea and warm scones just out the oven with jam and clotted cream. My daughter had some gorgeous sandwiches and sitting upstairs in comfy chairs in the window, what a great way to pass the time.
Mother's Day afternoon tea yesterday with a friend. As neither of us were seeing our children this weekend we decided to have a treat! Lovely afternoon tea with far too much cake for us so we took some of it home in a box and ate it later. Saw so many people who hadn't booked being turned away as they were fully booked - a popular place and rightly so ☕️🍰💐
We just been for afternoon tea after winning afternoon tea. I must say it was the best afternoon tea I've had. Even came home with a goody bad as the cakes beat us. Thank you for a lovely prize.
Went to celebrate mums birthday, I did the soup and sandwich, all the others had afternoon tea. Homemade soup was really good, and the others enjoyed their afternoon tea which there was loads of
Great little tearoom! Today we had my mother-in-law's 70th Birthday at The Vintage Tearooms. We had the room upstairs all to ourselves, which was a perfect size for the 15 of us. We had a mixture of children and adults and the tearoom catered for both, giving us sandwiches, cakes and scones that the children would like and then some different ones that the adults would like. They gave us everything we requested including decaf tea for the children. The room was decorated very traditionally and felt like you could be in a different age. I would recommend wearing light clothing in the sunny weather as it was a little warm and the sun was lovely and bright through the open windows. The food was delicious! We have a selection of sandwiches, plain and current scones, cakes, tea and coffee. I'd highly recommend this afternoon tea experience as the staff made it very special for us.
A fantastic find! Such a cute place, welcoming and friendly staff. The cakes looked amazing all on display and lots of choices of food and drink on the menu. We had a cappuccino and a tea, served in a lovely vintage teapot with a teacup and saucer. We will definitely go back if we are passing
We spend our summers in the beautiful village of Tealby and the Vintage Tea Room is one of our favorite places. We both love a traditional afternoon tea and have experienced tea from 5 star London properties to venues in the Cotswolds and Yorkshire. The variety and quality of the sandwiches, scones and cakes at the Vintage Tea Room is superb. Tealby is lucky to have such an inviting tea room.
Great cafe very much enjoyed the food. It's in the beutiful village of Tealby. It was busy so the service was great but a little slow. The staff were really good. All in all a great place to pop in for a nice cuppa and a scone with jam and cream.
First time here, it will be a regular visiting place now. We loved it!
Tealby is a pretty little village . In fact it’s like being in Devon driving through the narrow lanes . We will come into the tea rooms ,your cakes looks lovely ,and your tea rooms are lovely . I like to give good reviews . We will keep check on opening times . Please accept my apologies for other review . It’s just we were looking so forward to your tea and delicious cakes . I forgot it was holiday times and short staffed .

Visited the vintage tearooms today with my friend.
My friend booked the table for both of us, the staff where polite, the tea room itself was very pretty.
They had plenty of seating, when we arrived today we had our details taken, then we where directed to our table.
The table was dressed ready and the plates where on the stand, after we sat for a few moments the lady came to ask us what drinks we would like and explained we would get both hot and cold drinks of our choice from the menu, we both chose tea and j2o, the lady asked if we had any dietary requirements or allergies then the lady took our plates.
The drinks where brought to our table and not long after our plates was brought back full.
There was a great selection of tasty sandwiches, cheese, tuna cucumber, ham, and egg, plus quiche and a little garnish of salad.
Next there where 3 cakes each, red velvet cupcake, chocolate eclaire, battenberg.
Then underneath was the scone jam and cream.
All the food was delicious the chocolate eclair was the best I have ever tasted.
I would definitely return as the food was delicious.
The food left you feeling full but not overfull it was very light.
The deluxe tea is £18.00 pp.
Great little place. Friendly & quick service & delicious food (pictures are chocolate egg cake, gf lemon & raspberry cake, pear & stilton sandwich with gf bread, goats cheese tart). Gluten free bread & cakes available. Parking is on street or at the village hall about a 5 min walk away (suggested parking charge £1). Lovely upstairs part with armchairs to relax in. Dog friendly ("clean dogs allowed") with water kindly provided for your pooch.
Wonderful Vintage Tearooms. Took my mum there for her birthday. I had pre booked and took our little dog with us. He was made welcome and a bowl of water was provided for him. He was even given dog ice cream which he loved. Staff were lovely and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The Afternoon Tea was delicious and so fresh. We all loved it. Highly recommend and we will be returning.
Beautiful surroundings - the tearooms have had a lovely revamp during lockdown. The new luxury afternoon tea is delicious 😋
