We thoroughly enjoyed our meal as a result of a very lucky win on the Father's Day competition! Our first time and will definitely recommend to others!! Local seafood was delicious and our wee girls verdict on her dessert, "the best ice cream ever!". (She of course had to try our desserts too!) Thank you for our lovely meal!! We'll be back!!!

This is my 2nd visit unlike a difficult 2nd album the Inn did not disappoint everything was delicious, ingredients spanking fresh. The fish soup is the reason I returned and it was as good as I remembered, worth the almost 2 hrs drive. Fantastic place

Good food, friendly staff. The steak was great. We also tried the seaweed on two separate occasions. Worth a try. See you again. Outside on the patio was brilliant in the sun.

Popped into the inn for lunch today had a fabulous time! Service was tip top, very friendly welcoming atmosphere. The food was great a beautiful piece of battered fish in a light bun served with really tasty tartare sauce. Washed down with a non alcoholic lager (bah humbug) followed by coffee and shortbread which is worth going to the pub to experience on its own, crisp and light. Was a wonderful experience worth visiting and the surrounding area is delightful! Don't think about visiting just go!

Fabulous place! Loved our meal in beautiful surrounding served by happy, confident staff. The restaurant has been given a make over since we were last there and new owners are doing a great job. Will be back!

We stayed in Tayvallich for a week at one of the loch side cottages in October 2015. Visited the Inn on a few occasions. First class food and hospitality in a fantastic location. The seafood is spot on and well presented, a gem of a place. Recommended to many friends to visit if they are in the area

A beautiful place for a quick lunch on a damp, dismal day. Spotless surroundings, pleasant, efficient staff, and tastey food. Yesterday, October 23 was my first visit for at least 25 years. I hope to come again

Great food for a good price, kids loved the burgers, fish and chips and the seafood was brilliant. A well deserved cold pint with the view after a long day. Friendly staff, very nice view over the harbour

Decent food, well priced. Starter portions were quite small and lacking in finer details like salad dressing. Seafood pasta seemed to be just salmon and mussels and could have done with some calamari or something else in there. Overall it was nice and the location over the harbour is lovely particularly if you have the weather on your side. We sat in the bar area as we had a dog with us.

This is an awesome inn with excellent seafood. Friendly and helpful management and staff. Great atmosphere, overlooking Loch Sween. We ate here this lunchtime. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Starters, mains, and desserts were all first class. Lovely large portions too. Chef and kitchen staff are amazing. The inn also has a great selection of beers, wines, gins, and single malt whiskies. Heaven!!!

Perfect spot, lovely evening and amazing food. Pedro was very attentive and great with our daughter too. We booked the day before we arrived in Tayvallich and it just makes sense - to stagger tables and not overwhelm the kitchen (which is a win-win for everyone as food and service isn't rushed). They had a great selection on the menu to suit everyone, vegan, veggie, pescatarian etc. I had the vegan tacos and it was quite possibly the nicest vegan option I've had in a long time - more inventive than the usual dishes restaurants try to pass off! Already planning our next trip 👍

Peaceful place to enjoy great bar food. I would like to go back when the sun is shining and sit outside, the sun had moved away by the time we got there so it was a bit chilly outside. Worth the long drive to see this place.

Lovely find on our recent boating holiday. Honestly box at end of pontoon, the locals were friendly and very knowledgeable about the rocky shallows entering and leaving the harbour. Really pretty village, with the Inn towards the end of the village and fabulous views over the water. You need to book a table, not too expensive and nice home cooked grub, good choice of beer and larger, we will return next year......weather permitting.

I stopped at this inn for a quick beer, after I had been travelling the whole day. The view is fantastic. It seems like a Greek island, but it is Tayvallich, in Scotland!! The restaurant was fully booked but the responsible guy for the place, kindly showed me a place to sit outside and offered me a local beer!! One of my favourite places!!

Went here for the first time on Saturday after hearing great reports for years..I was not disappointed..the location is perfect and the food was outstanding..we had a chicken burger and the langoustines and both were fabulous..the staff were super friendly and very attentive and we sat outside and the option of blankets were there if required. This place is so worth a trip, it does exactly what it should do, fabulous local food in a fabulous setting. Please don't ever change!! 10/10

The manager managed to squeeze us in without a booking, it was understandably very busy as the food and service were spot on. Our dishes ranged from Hand dived scallops to burgers to vegan pasta and everything was perfect. Highly recommend. Thank you!

We've been there on the 28th of August. Extremely pleasant and excellent service, with attention to the details, also towards the children. Very polite and friendly, the food is very good and the view amazing. I can only recommend this place.

Fantastic food, great staff particularly Pedro and Danny. Wish we could visit more often but we're only here on holiday for 1 night. However dinner was so good last night we immediately booked for lunch today! Lots of locally caught seafood on the specials menu. Also a gorgeous view out over the harbour. Can't recommend highly enough.

Stunning location - even in late October. Booked a table the night before (with dog) for 2 adults and one child. We arrived 20-30 minutes early as the restaurant was opening. It soon filled up. We spent £106 for 4 alcoholic drinks and x2 soft drinks. 3-course menu. Really friendly staff. Picturesque, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!

Absolutely outstanding fresh seafood, including some of the best lobster I’ve ever had. The scallops and langoustine were also delicious, and the coffee with the affogato really excellent. The views are also stunning and the staff are really friendly , especially Pedro.

Love this place. 💕 We are camping in the area and this is the only eating place nearby. It is fantastic. The menu is superb. Not cheap but worth the money. You need to book online in advance through - tables get booked up fast. This is the scallop starter.
