Great little restaurant which had been recommended by a local shop keeper.
Good home cooked food.
Good service.
Varied menu.
Some meals had a choice of small/large portions.
We chose the soup.
Best soup we've had in a long time 👍
Lovely little traditional English cafe. Brought my young Son in for breakfast. Waitress was attentive but not intrusive. Just the right amount of care. Brought my Son's food out first and kept mine warm so I could enjoy it after without being asked. Fantastic selection of Gluten Free and Dairy free
This is a lovely restaurant. I had a lovely roast beef dinner, meat melted in my mouth, vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. Proper gravy, too. Yummy. The staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend Karen's restaurant. I will be going again.
Great tea rooms. Food is nice and tasty.
Lots of cakes available to purchase with your cuppa. The only complaint would be that the mushrooms were tiny and the extra item purchased ( black pudding on one breakfast and hogs pudding on the other). Was just not worth the extra £1.70 paid for each additi
We ordered a takeaway afternoon tea from Karen recently. It was absolutely delicious. Very tasty savouries and yummy cakes and scones.
Thank you Karen and your team, lovely 😋
Stunning perfect breakfast, great service highly recommended 😁
Stopped in for breakfast. Dog friendly and treats given. Well worth a visit any time of day.
Home cooking at its best.
I make a bee line straight to Karen's when I am in Tavistock. Always excellent home made food prepared by Karen herself.
Food was absolutely delicious. Can't recommend Karen's highly enough. Much needed refuel cycling between Okhampton and Plymouth
Found Karens on google thought give it a try. Well Absolutely gorgeous Breakfast beautiful cakes will definitely be back
I just went for a coffee with a sweet. A flat white, Bakewell tart and custard. Everything was as one would expect in a small cafe.
Really lovely food and the cakes were delicious!! Pretty good service and loads of choice on the menus. Only real downside was sitting next to the till and listening to the young female employee muttering negatively under her breath about a group of ladies on the next table after they simply asked f
Best cake shop in town. Not only to eat in, but to take away, as we always do. Their coffee and walnut are our favorite. We also liked the new comfy chairs outside. Nice touch.
Popped in for the 1st time as a table of 5, greeted and welcomed in and two tables put together to accommodate. Hassle free. Great Dairy Free selection, which you hardly find elsewhere. Great for a dairy intolerance husband. Service quick and friendly. Food was amazing, and the hot chocolate lush. G
The BEST scones! If you want a gorgeous cream tea head here. Lots of other beautiful cakes to choose from and freshly cooked food. Cornish coffee is also a must :)
Absolutely loved this place. We ordered from the 2 course lunch menu, and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the portions. I ordered the shepherd's pie and my husband the lasagne. Really tasty food. Good plate full. For dessert we both had lemon meringue pie. Nice big fluffy meringue and zesty
Excellent fresh food and even better home made cakes. Lovely local restaurant/coffee shop. Has a few seats outside and plenty inside, although can get busy. The selection of cakes is impressive and if you can't decide on 1, there's always the option to take a slice of another home for later! The Vic
This is definitely a restaurant worth visiting.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Good wholesome home from home meals.
So much to choose from,
a great choice in cakes/deserts..although unable to squeeze any in after the portion size of our main meal.
The prices were good and no
