The place is very nice, has a great selection of beers and ciders, is a great place to watch football match on tv, has a large outdoor patio and best of all you can play skittle!! I enjoyed it very much.
I'll be honest, I have driven past this pub a hundred times and never contemplated going in. I suppose the Sky Sports banners and football shirt-wearing punters smoking outside put me off a bit. Rowdy sports pubs are not my scene. But I popped in last week to watch the rugby and realised I have been missing out. Really nice atmosphere, bright and airy room, well decorated, very friendly staff, good ale, good food.... not much more one could ask for. There were a lot of TVs showing Sky Sports and the commentary playing over loudspeakers throughout most of the pub but it wasn't excessive and it's big enough to move away from the sports if that's not your bag. I will definitely pop back in one day.
Popped into the pub for sone food and a couple drinks. Everything was amazing but especially the service from Tami behind the bar, serving with a smile constantly and making me and the people I was with welcome. Would 100% recommend too pop in if you haven’t already you won’t be disappointed
Sports viewing pub, many TV screens showing different programs depending what's on.
Food good quality, real ale well kept, offers deals similar to weatherspoons.
I want to preface this by saying we walked in and took a look around but didn’t end up staying.
We left because some patrons made homophobic remarks to me.
This is obviously not the bars fault so I left 5 stars.
Ultimately I just want to post this in case those two Neanderthals can somehow gather some brain power to use primitive tools, like a stick, to access the internet.
I’ve heard they have great cocktails here - would love to have tried them but the two construction workers were the deterrent.
It looked very clean and the patio looked very spacious and nice.
We had a meal for my wife and her twins 40th birthday and they where very accommodating. There were 18 of us so the food was a little staggered but that was to be expected. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good. Thanks for making a lovely family meal.
Had a great time when I went & the food was good, there is also a pool table.
Also on Thursday night there is a quiz.
There is a public car park in front.
Never been before, just happened to pop in for convenience. We were extremely pleased with the pleasant nature of the staff and the food was excellent and a very good price. Well done, and we will be going back again soon.
We hired the Kings Arms Skittle Alley for a birthday party on a busy Saturday and it was fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough for us even though they were very busy in the main pub. We had party food which was lovely and a private bar open in the skittle alley. We could decorate how we liked and put a photo slide show on the TVs on the wall. I would recommend this venue for parties, it was a relaxed fun evening and we were made to feel extremely welcome.
Had a really great breakfast here this morning! This pub has taken over from the now defunct Coal Orchard, and provides great food all day from 0900 to 2100! Grab a coffee and relax with the paper! Try the chicken tikka masala and chips, and breakfast bap with hash browns! Totally awesome place to eat and chill, with a great intimate karaoke experience on Friday evenings at 2000 from February onwards with DJ Nick!
The new decor is warm and inviting and the ambience and staff friendly and welcoming!
The pub is a family friendly place to go for a meal. The customer service is excellent and the food is amazing. 10/10
I was looking for a new venue for a regular Christmas get together with 35 guys. I thought I would give The Kings Arms a try and what a good choice. The staff couldn't have been more helpful especially Lizzy.
Food was arranged and served to us in the skittle alley a good selection and amount. The pub was lively and fun, bar service was quick and efficient and friendly. I really couldn't have wished for more.
Well done all the staff at the Kings Arms on Saturday 17th Dec 2022.
Lovely edge of town pub. Dog friendly. Great range of beers and lagers. Plenty of room inside and room outside if the weather's ok.
Just had a lovely meal of steak and Ale pie with mash and seasonal veg with gravy. The food was cooked perfect. The pastry was very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It was better than the cricketers pub.
Definitely 5 stars from me and will be eating their again.
Great place friendly and friendly staffand delicious food
Did a group booking for dinner and skittles. Was exactly what we hoped it would be, decent pub food, good room for the skittles and good service. The Katsu Burger was especially excellent.
