This is a local pub for us, and we visit at least once per week. All the meals we've had since the current owners took over have been great; from a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak, to duck, to burgers and some other lovely choices. They also do the best pie. I like the owners and the staff, who have certainly always been welcoming and friendly to us. The specials board does change pretty frequently, and there are different deals like steak night, and lunch menus.
Food very good, staff very helpful. Good meal sizes. Would recommend.
We decided to give the Maypole another try when we noticed it was under new management - so glad we did! Food was hot, cooked just right and plenty of it. So much choice on the menu but we decided on 10oz gammon, which came with all the extras, chicken topped with bacon and cheese and the slow roasted belly pork - all were delicious and reasonably priced. An experience definitely worth repeating!

Excellent food this is our new favourite place wouldn’t eat anywhere else! The 2 for £12 of a lunch time is brilliant value!

First time we've been to the maypole and we really enjoyed our meal. Food came out piping hot and cooked very well. The timing of the food from starter to main was bang on point. The main meals were a full plate and very delicious we were very impressed. We booked to eat here as its very popular so book before you go... would definitely recommend 👌
We had a wake there, the staff were friendly, helpful and the food was excellent. A very good selection of food. Will go back and try there meals. Will be recommending it to everyone. I want to say a big thank you to all the staff, you were amazing.
Party booking of 14 for lunch today. They were very busy and we had to wait quite a while for our meals. However the staff were really nice and the food was enjoyable, especially as all meals were from the £10 specials menu.
We visited this place for Mother's day and had the carvery which is served from 12-8pm on a Sunday. Happy friendly staff, clean and welcoming restaurant, and lovely food, well done all.

Lovely, country inn. Plenty of places to sit, without it feeling crowded. Excellent choices available from an extensive menu. The lunchtime 'daily' menu, in particular, was very good value with something to suit most tastes/dietary requirements.
Nice friendly pub with beer garden dog-friendly with disabled toilets and large car park the pub is split level so not fully wheelchair friendly although you do have access to a couple of tables the beer garden and the toilets in a wheelchair, the food and pricing is very good with a varied menu.
You can tell the people who work there give it their all, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, the food is awesome! Everything made from scratch, the chips are so fluffy but crispy on the outside, onion rings are to die for! Everything was available on the menu! Will definitley reccomend! If i had to be really fussy the beef was a bit dry in the burger but i still really enjoyed it! The tastes were great in each mouthful!
Really enjoyed the Carvery and Lemon Meringue Pie here, the Carvery meat was very good and the we could help ourselfs with the other items. All very tasty. The two course deal was good value for money, table service was good for purchasing food and buying drinks, the staff were friendly. They also allow dogs.
The pub was busy but they seemed to have enough parking outside.
Staff were super friendly. Quick service, attentive. Food was INCREDIBLE, so many homemade elements. Burger is HUGE! Would definitely recommend no starters if you're picking this bad boy.

Booked a room for a wake. The staff were lovely and supportive. Food was excellent. One of our group was in a wheelchair. A ramp was arranged. Nothing was too much trouble.
