If I could give 100 stars, I would! Staff made you feel like their most frequent regular, even on our first visit! I wish I lived closer so I could go more. Amazing drinks selection, food to die for and staff that set the world alight with their personalities. Thank you! A fabulous birthday meal with my husband.
The most idyllic British cottage pub you ever did see. Cozy, dark fireside vibes inside and country garden outside. We stopped in for pizza and a pint on our way home. The pizza was handmade on site in their own wood fire pizza oven!! Extremely reasonable prices and the pizza was fantastic- super fresh with some unique genius toppings!! Will definitely be coming back.
Had the pleasure of eating here twice whilst on a family holiday and the food was excellent on both occasions as was the beer, really enjoyed the Hopical Storm from Timothy Taylor !

Our group had their Wedding "Breakfast" here. Food was delicious and staff super friendly. Vegan food made especially was so flavoursome, nothing was too much trouble. No hesitation in recommending this cosy countryside pub. Thank you.

My recent Sunday lunch experience at the Farmers Arms was nothing short of extraordinary. The 16th-century building with its charming thatch roof instantly captured my imagination as I stepped inside. The lovely garden provided the perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal, and I was about to discover a culinary delight that matched the historic ambiance.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the roast beef, cooked to perfection and accompanied by Yorkshire puddings that were a work of art. The flavors were sublime, and every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail.
The well-stocked bar offered an impressive array of beers and ales, providing the perfect beverage options to complement the hearty meal. The professional staff ensured that every aspect of our visit was flawless, from their warm welcome to their attentive service throughout the meal.
The blend of history and modern comfort created a fabulous atmosphere that elevated the dining experience. The Farmers Arms has mastered the art of preserving tradition while offering a dining experience that is nothing short of exceptional. If you're seeking a Sunday lunch that combines impeccable food, a charming setting, and outstanding service, the Farmers Arms should be at the top of your list.
Wow what a hidden gem!! We've lived here for 5 years and driven past the sign on the main road I can't count how many times and been meaning to pop in but never seem to have the chance.
Finally the other day on the way to another location we decided to stop here for lunch. We were greeted with a charming thatched pub which has a really sheltered but well laid out beer garden, looks like a great place to sit in the summer sun - complete with pizza oven.
The interior is cosy and really invitingly done up. My husband was super inpressed with the many beers they had on tap, some really unusual ones too.
The food was excellent - we were really impressed with the quality of the produce and high restaurant level skill of the cooking.
I had two starters, the artichoke soup and fishy bites. Both were yummy.
My husband had the mushroom pasta main, in which the mushrooms were woodlands ones and the pasta appeared to be freshly made. It was really great. Good flavours and cooked well. We also shared a melt in the middle chocolate pudding which was nice and cocoay. Yum!
We will defintely be going back and taking our kids there too. Oh and not too forget the barman was super friendly and a lovely guy and on the ball serving us as soon as we came in. Also the serving staff were all friendly polite and quick to serve and the food came out quickly. All in all we applaud you guys at The Farmers Arms, well done you're doing a great job and we'll defintely be back for more!
The food was exceptional, service was very good, nothing was to much trouble, a lovely location, outside dinning, a wood fired pizza oven in open kitchen with tables, some covered outside the pub, cosy inside, fantastic selection of beers, wines and spirits. An absolute gem of a pub expertly managed, you don't find many places like this, to be treasured. Thank you!
Relaxing atmosphere with outdoor seating surrounded by greenery. Very friendly and helpful staff, quick and efficient service.
The new menu is excellent, literally everything looks good. Will definitely be going back.
What do you look for in a decent pub? Lovely staff, good food and a warm fire? This place has all the boxes ticked. Thank you guys! You know we’ll be back…
Had the most gorgeous sunday lunch!!
Every little detail from the service to the menu to the decor of the pub, was perfect!
We were sat down by the fire for our meal as the landlords were aware of our anniversary🥰
The sunday menu has such a large variety with three roast options and many other pub classics… Although my partner indulged in a gorgeous sunday roast, I went for the harrisa pork chilli con carne! Which was to DIE for!
The team were very attentive. The Bar men Nathan and Ewan were very fast and efficient. And the floor team were ON IT checking in on drinks, check backs with our food and an all round fabulous service.
Will definitely be back!
Amazing all round food is amazing worth the money and the staff really friendly we went for lunch and my wife was astatic by the time we left. All round I would give it a 15 out of 10 even the garden is nice.
Clean from entrance to the bar to the garden and easy parking.
Beautiful pub, with intimate booths, and good selection of alcohol and soft drinks. Food was good, my starter was the best I'd ever eaten (mussels) and the main courses were flavoursome and different to usual pub meals (chicken and lamb kebab anyone?). The pizza was also incredible! Staff were friendly and helpful, and engaging when interacting with us, especially as it was my son's 16th birthday meal. What wasn't so good was the wait for meals. There was a long wait of 25 mins between first main course arriving on our table (pizza) and the sauce being delivered for the chicken Supreme. I write this not to assassinate the crew but to highlight that there may be delays when running short in the team. We also weren't aware of the reason for absence, naturally, so I still offer 4 stars because overall we really enjoyed being here. I mentioned the delays to the waitress and she was apologetic without gushing, and simply made us feel better with a simple honest explanation. Refreshing. Thanks guys, we're already planning on coming back!
ive lived in the area 4yrs and never new the pub was tucked away in the corner next village along from me.
the staff were very friendly.
the food was delicious.
stunning old thatched property.
i will definately be back to sample more of the menu.
What a great place. We had the best meal we have had in ages.Compliments to the Chef. Staff was brilliant very helpful. Nothing was to much bother for them. What a shame we live so far away. Ten out of ten .Thank you all Paul and Diane
Popped in on the off chance and We had a lovely mid week treat. My husband had the seam bream and it was amazing and presented beautifully, I had the fish and chips they were delicious.
Stayed in the area for Christmas week with family and fortunately for us The Farmers Arms was the local pub.
Visited several times in the week as it was such a friendly place to be. Great locals (thanks to Pete & Jules in particular for making me feel so welcome) and friendly staff.
The dog & I enjoyed a few happy hours by the roaring wood burner.
On Boxing Day they fired up the outdoor pizza oven, and the kids and I enjoyed tasty freshly baked pizzas under patio heaters. It was really busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying the food.
Thanks to Jane and the team for looking after us all so well.
Hope to be back soon!
