This was my first time visit to the Ring of Bells.Even though i live not to far from Taunton.And visit Taunton quite often.
Being a Real Ale Drinker.There was a great choice to choose from.And in excellent condition.Just off from the town centre and by Somerset County Cricket and the Brewhouse Theatre.The Ring of Bells is a must visit pub for Real Ale who may be in the area.
Lovely pub. Great selection of beers. Food was superb - camembert starter, spicy burger and the plum crumble were all perfect. . Upstairs dining area was lovely and the service was great.
At the cricket ...drinks and pub quiz Monday night . Great Lunch and after game drinks yesterday . Clean ,good food and friendly .
Great � lovely home cooked food. Had a great time in the beer garden.
Dropped in for a pint, will be back for food next time as it looked so good.

They offer a nice range of local beers! We got some nice burger and fries and service is top notch!
Fantastic place. Great food - quality matches the price. Can tell it’s fresh and made to order. Chips in particular were notably tasty. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and lots of outdoor seating. Good to see card only! Will definitely visit again
Great pub just off the main shopping area of Taunton. We were a party of eight, sat on the same table comfortably.
Sunday roast was great, my wife had the crab and was very happy. Afterwards we retired to the outside area at the back as it was cooler. Attentive and friendly team, we really enjoyed our visit.
Had an amazing meal at this pub two lunchtimes on the trot it was so good. Both service and meal. we’re excellent, just what we were looking for on our short visit to Taunton. Wished we lived nearer. Also a great atmosphere. We had seafood chowder and blade of beef first day both excellent and on second visit the venison and a rib eye. Good pint and nice crisp sauvignon blanc 😊
A lovely pub with a wonderful, warm welcome and gorgeous smoke-free beer garden/outside dining area. We opted for the beer-battered fish and it was to die for. Service was fantastic - American standard - and the beer and atmosphere were great. Can’t recommend enough.
Nice pub with a decent outdoor space, and a wide selection of beers. The fact it's table service only is a bit weird, lots of staff constantly buzzing around does change the atmosphere. That said, the service was good and swift.
Gorgeous food and very friendly staff. 11/10 will definitely go again!

Came back 4 months later and had the pork belly, and once again, it was perfect 🥰
Went for a Sunday roast here with seven of us. All the staff were great from the booking to the end of the meal, and the food was amazing. Best roast I've had in three years of living in Somerset.
Busy pub close to the cricket grounds, needed to wait a couple of mins for a table to become available. Table service and 5 hand pulls.
Had a nice meal here on Sunday, shared the anti pasti as a starter. I had the beef roast dinner, with all the trimmings and my wife had the burger and Fries. Service and food was good and would return.
Wonderful experience with the best steak I’ve had in years - fab service and atmosphere

I had an amazing vegetarian meal here last night. My husband had chicken which was beautifully presented. Service was very good as was the atmosphere. Wish we lived in the area would certainly be using this as my go-to restaurant. Thank you
Went to The Ring of Bells for the first time today, we were a party of 4 and we all had the Sunday roast. The food was excellent as was the service, we’ll definitely be going back.
What a lovely warm and friendly pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. I always swing between the pork belly or fish and chips. I think their fish and chips are better than from an actual chippy!
Fabulous little pub, always highly recommended to friends and family.
