Cracking little Italian, when the Italians that live in Taunton are eating there you know your onto a winner!
Welcoming and great service and top class food. The girlfriend said “The best pasta I’ve ever had” Also had a great sea bass special and a top class pizza! Utterly faultless in every way.
As a Italian I can say the food presented and made was as a authentic Italian way. Service was amazing, kind and very quick.
Atmosphere same as in one Italian restaurant and very cozy.
100% would recommend and definitely when we will come around we will visit again.
Keep up the great work. Well done!
Lived in Taunton most of my adult life and never eaten here. After reading the reviews we decided to check it out last week and were back within a week.
Have to say, both visits were fantastic. Stunning food, friendly fun service, and even though at first sight the building is a bit odd, when busy it generates a really vibrant enjoyable atmosphere. (And we saw some Italian people we know eating there, always a good sign..)
Definitely coming back for a third visit soon.
(Forgot to say, exceptional value too)
First time in Taunton and we decided to have dinner here. We walked past Ciao Amore and after looking at the menu we decided to try it.
Customer service was excellent, food was excellent and very good prices, ☺️overall 10 out of 10. We will be definitely coming here again. You must visit this cosy restaurant
.
Went here for my birthday with family and it was so lovely! Food was wonderful. Would love to go back soon.
A great happy evening here. Mina was outstanding along with the others waitress. All three courses we had we’re delicious and a fabulous bottle of red wine. Perfect timing between courses. Prices absolutely amazing I’m my opinion they could charge a lot more.
Since Ciao Amore is closed on Tuesdays we decided to have a pre-birthday celebration 🥳 today...
The place is very simple and staff are friendly and the food is magnifico👌🏻. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. It’s definitely a good choice and we are definitely going back. 💕
Family took me back for my 70th birthday. Absolutely ❤️ this restaurant! Wonderful atmosphere! Brilliant service! Outstanding food and drinks. Highly recommend.
Tasty food and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Happy to go back there. Great atmosphere too as it was a kid's birthday party and we all sang happy birthday to him.
I had a long day at work and decided to go out to Ciao Amore with my friend because we had heard a lot about this place already. The ambiance was quite warm and the staff is so welcoming. We got the best place to sit and were offered the menu as soon as we got in. As it’s quite difficult to understand the Italian dishes, we were offered some guidance form the staff. I ordered Lemon chicken and my friend ordered the sea food pasta. Both of them were equally mouth watering and they looked so tempting with their presentation. The aroma and the taste deserves full marks.
We ended our meal with cheesecake and Raspberry panna cota which again were so delicious. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
On entering this establishment we were a little concerned despite the recommendations as the decor is somewhat dated and reminiscent of a 70s cafe. However the food was surprisingly tasty with generous portions and the pizzas looked massive Pictures don't do it justice as look more bland than they tasted and biggest pleasure was the size of the bill and the friendly clientele. We didn't however risk trying the Soave😄
Love this restaurant. Been there many times over the years, always superb food, and excellent service 👌
Amazing Italian restaurant with delicious homemade dishes and pasta. The staff are very kind and service is brilliant. 100% recommend! It’s our favourite Italian place in the South West 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
All handmade delicious food. Pricing was really good. Service is excellent as well. Would have given 6 stars if I could 👍
A really special place to eat. Front of house and chefs are all so friendly. You feel like the only person in there with the top service! Food is also incredible, since finding this gem of a place we’ve been back a few times to try new items on the menu. Highly recommend dining here for any occasion.
Absolutely incredible! Came on a whim as we were staying at a local hotel for business... and wow am I glad we came!
Found the place through Google and the restaurant is perfectly situated in the town centre right on a crossroads so you can't miss it. The clean, warm, friendly atmosphere was apparent from the moment I stepped through the door.
The service was delightful with a lovely warm welcome from the waitress along with an introduction to the specials for the day.
We opted for a bottle of peroni with a lemonade and the Bruschetta starter.
I can safely say that having travelled the country trying many different Italian restaurants, the Bruschetta here is the finest I have ever had! So fresh and crisp on a warm freshly baked bread, served with the usual balsamic vinegar and olive oil decanter. Simply divine! I took the photo after I had finished my first half as I just couldn't wait :)
Next we had a couple of the pasta dishes from the lower end of the menu, a simple fettuccine dish and a chicken and pesto dish.
The tomato sauce base for the chicken dish was so delicious! There was no cheap tang that I've experienced in the past, just a creamy after taste. My wife's fettuccine was just the way I like it too, al dente with a wonderful mushroom sauce.
I only wish we had more work in this area so that I could come again.
Now back to my meal :)
Always coming back to this place 🍕🍕🍕 the food is amazing
4 out of 5 for the presentation and saltiness. We got some take away, it was ready in 10 minutes ... 😁 Bistecca al gorgonzola, rosemary potatoes, spinach with garlic, lasagna, calamari saltari and funghi ripene. The beef was really nice done, juicy, smooth, fresh and full of flavour. The gorgonzola on the other hand was not really gorgonzola, just a salty, watery, somewhat cheesy tasting sauce. Rosemary potatoes were good, soft on the inside, a bit crunchy on the outside but not enough rosemary. Lasagna had lots of sauce, tasty pasta and meat, really like homemade lasagna. Nothing special about the calamari, quite fresh, nice garlicky flavour, the mushrooms with goat cheese and bread crumbs was so oily ... Overall, there's some room for improvement but 4 out of 5 stars does it justice. Recommend most of the food.
Food was better than average as mainly seemed to be made in-house. Quality could be better, but hard to complain at the prices. Polite, prompt service. Very busy, recommend booking
