This is one of my favourite places! The food is amazing and the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. They even gave attention to our dog and made sure he had water and cuddles! We stayed over too so ate lunch, dinner and dessert here; all delicious! However they did give us a pot of olives instead of crackling with the butchers board so we didn't eat the olives but we were full anyway as the board is more than enough for two! The views here are amazing a d the walks surrounding the area are great with pheasants and rabbits crossing your path! The stay was comfortable and the rooms are modern and stylish, although a little small but it's cosy! The breakfast was delicious. I had fresh pastries, jam and toast and a full English! And I was so pleased they had soya milk as not many places do this. Will definitely be returning and I recommend it to anyone for a lovely break.
Lovely place to visit. Gorgeous location and great garden to take advantage of the sun and magnificent view. We shared a wonderful ploughman’s platter - delicious. Will definitely return
What an amazing place, we actually arrived on the wrong day ( my fault) but they swapped our dates and they had a room, it was lovely, food amazing, staff brilliant, we would recommend the pheasant to anyone, with or without dogs .
What a lovely place, food, service and views. Would totally recommend and thank you Chris Duxbury for helping my mum today, excellent customer service..we will be returning x x
First visit and it won’t be the last.
Really good food and despite being very busy still a very good service.
Also special thanks to chef Phil for making the sauce even though it wasn’t on the menu.

As always, this place never dissapoints and with the new bar maid who has just transferred from The Bears Paw, it’s only gonna get better. She is brilliant. Friendly, personable and an asset to any pub. Great food and now great staff as well. We will be back!
We called at the Pheasant, on our way home after walking in North Wales, on the off chance that they were still serving Sunday lunch. They were & although extremely busy they found us a table quite quickly. The food, roast beef & roast pork dinners were most enjoyable, although I think pickled red cabbage isn't to everyone's taste, I love it, but my digestive system doesn't, so maybe that's one veg that they could ask if you want on your plate. One small niggle was when we asked for our bill the young lady rather threw it at us in passing. That apart we would definitely frequent the Pheasant in future & would recommend
My husband and I had a meal here the food was great the staff friendly and the views breath taking we will be going back very soon
