The Nags Head At Haughton - Tarporley - Photo album

We visited the Nag's Head for the first time in many years for a birthday family lunch. There were nine of us including a 1 year-old and a 3 year-old. We were seated in the Orangery which was perfect, with a lovely view to the gardens. The atmosphere was very relaxed, lots of other families, some wi
Brilliant afternoon! All roasts thoroughly enjoyed. The veggie roast dinner was possibly the nicest I've ever had. The potatoes weren't amazing but the rest of it was incredible. I didn't notice with the veggie roast but the two meat eaters did mention their cabbage/kale was gritty as if it hadn't b
One of the best meals I’ve had this year! The food was exceptional and the whole table said the same thing. Beer and Wine choice was great too with the staff really knowing their stuff to recommend the best wine pairings. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Even better that it’s dog friendl

Fantastic place. Lovely peaceful setting with extensive kid-friendly outdoor space too. Only popped in for a quick drink and a few items from the bar/lunch menu but I was struck by the excellent friendly service from the staff who had a great knowledge of the beers and fare on offer. I visited on a
A stunning country pub with excellent service and food to match. We stopped by for some lunch, we each had steak and ale pie. Thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the kale, something I don't usually think to have. We'll be back again
Had a delightful meal at the Nags head.everything they do is really good. Lovely traditional country pub. Kiddie friendly, dog friendly, great atmosphere.staff were excellent, and the food was brilliant. What more can you say.
Had a really nice meal here. Only minor gripe was we weren't told when booking that they closed the kitchen at 6pm on Sunday, and we booked on for 5pm. Hence it was a tad confusing ordering deserts etc.
Amazing setting, especially if like us you have kids, due to the lovely grounds. Pub itself is beautifully put together, with rustic and artisan themes, roaring fires and modern touches. Food was top notch as well and accommodating my imported GF burger bun was appreciated. The fact that the owners
3rd time visiting in 6 months so definitely recommend. I would give 4.5 stars because the food is really, really good here but - the roasties could do with being crisped up a bit sounds minor but they play a big part on a roast dinner plate! The courgette & saffron risotto is delicious but sadly was
Nag's Head, Haughton has impressive devotion to local suppliers. The beef and vegetables I ordered came from a farm within a 3 mile radius. Very prompt service. Beef good,  fatty bit fantastic; vegetables, well cooked i.e. not overcooked. Horseradish too mild, "Sir, try this" grated fresh Horseradis
Fish and chips were very fresh! Would recommend Beartown lager.
Great food in a great setting. Quite quiet for a Friday night but didn't stop us having a lovely meal. Lamb pie was delicious 😋
Excellent place to visit. We were there following a funeral,i would definitely recommend a visit, could not fault it in any way.
Lovely setting and we love the food and ambience here. Recommend booking a table at weekends, especially Sunday Lunch. Menus change all the time with seasonal goodies Look out for their monthly events schedule. Lots going on and now in the top 100 lust in the Good Food Pub Guide 2023
Excellent food and an amazing location. My favourite pub in Cheshire. The kids love the footballs in the garden too
