Stopped for a drink and some food whilst in the area. Was not disappointed, friendly staff and is stop on. Food and drink very good and at a good price The burgers are to die for, best ive had for along time.
We have eaten here several times over the past year and I have been impressed by the service, value for money and the quality of food. Being plant based they have always accommodated me with really good meals and will adapt where they can. Delighted that Thursdays to Sundays there is food available
We had tried to book some weeks ago, to be told "sorry we are fully booked" so to be ahead I booked a week in advance this time. Was it worth the wait, oh yes the guest ale was superb and the Sunday lunch.. Well outstanding. I had the white bait and the beef and my partner had the mushroom starter a
5 for food as we had a lovely Burger thank you. Lovely people a very comfortable place indeed See you again at our next festival. Good luck in your venture x
Amazing friendly pub with great staff and outstanding food by Steve…. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Little gem of the beaten track. Sunday lunch at £21pp for 3 course meal. Booking a must due to limited seating.
Great countryside pub with plenty of little rooms and nooks to explore. We felt welcome the moment we walked in. Whilst I can't comment on the food as we didnt have any, the ales were great, a couple of lagers on tap and ususal suspects as regards spirits and a few different gin types from what I no
A brilliant little local find, good drinks and fine food in an original, some might say olde world type of pub. Would make an ideal stop on a country walk too.
Very nice, very quiet, possibly because of entertainment (if it could have been called that) on at the village hall, we escaped at half time and went to the Crown.
Sunday lunch, we had the latest booking 3:30 it was a nice day but not overly busy, We were offered a choice of tables including the old cellar (different) but nice, The service was excellent from a very polite young man, A good choice of ales where on offer although not the cheapest! Sunday lunch
Excellent service and lovely food, well worth a visit
A very traditional pub, with low ceilings and exposed beams and little nooks and crannies. They had four real ales on offer when we went, Draught Bass which is a staple and three others. I tried the Bass and one of the other beers and both were in excellent condition. The menu was short and did not
A fantastic 17th century pub. Fantastic food great atmosphere steeped in history. Wonderful villages make you very welcome. Nice bar and a games room. Car park and disabled access. This is what a pub should be. Sadly many today have the heart ripped out of them as they are turned into "modern gastro
As Andy (the barman) knew I had been shielding during the first Covid-19 lockdown, he kindly seated me and my mum in a corner room away from other customers in the pub. We ate tasty fish and chips cooked by the pub chef, with side bowls containing very generous portions of curry sauce and mushy peas
A very traditional pub. Cool layout. Lot's of hidden corners with tables. Plenty of spaces to park. Not the biggest of pubs. It's quite small. Friendly bar staff and a great atmosphere. New pool table needed.
Great old fashioned pub with log burner, good atmosphere top notch beer, freindlybar staff what more do you want, will visit again.
Lovely little place with a small but good selection of beers and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Very cozy little pub, little pricy but post covid it's to be expected.
