This is a superb venue, a local treasure. The food is made to order, and it is always superb. Cold foods are always made daily, and the prices are kept low, too. The staff are brilliant, the venue is clean and tidy, and it is usually open 7 days a week, often from 8 am onwards. There is even a pet menu, too, and pets are allowed into the venue if well behaved. There is outdoor seating and table service, and seasonally, there is an outside servery usually for ice creams. It is located in the castle grounds opposite the play area and within walking distance of several car parks and the toilets as well as the bowling alley and Ankerside shopping centre.

Fantastic value small breakfast, freshly cooked, complete with a mug of tea! We have been several times whilst out for our walks...usually avoid peak play area times/ days as we enjoy it a bit quieter. The small cooked breakfast is plenty and so satisfying!

Lovely setting, seats in and just outside the cafe, also plenty of extra seats on the grass area all around cafe and play park. Very reasonably priced, staff polite although on this occasion was quite a long wait in line to get served. Lovely setting to take the kids/ grandkids to let off steam

And i said id leave something ab0ut the Doggie Ice Cream that we had. The Dog loved it. Didnt bother with any kids or any other dogs around just kept going with the ice cream :-) Thank you

Lovely ladies, quick service with a smile, but oh dear ladies, the sausages are cheap and tasteless. Get some decent sausages please and increase your price to compensate. It will benefit your trade! X
