I have been coming here with my family for years and have always enjoyed the carvery! Since the pub has been re-vamped (I'm guessing it went under new management??) the decor and menu options are great - they even have a vegetarian section and a 'skinny pizza' section for those watching the calories! I cant see why there are so many poor ratings on here as we've never had an issue with our food, the staff have always been lovely and smiley, and the athmosphere is great. Maybe some people expect too much from a pub... Maybe some people don't appreciate simple dining... who knows, but we like it and will continue to come back!
Called on for a breakfast after recommended to us... Not at all disappointed...Hot food, tasty, good price and the manager did me the biggest favour... After leaving my handbag! she contacted me through Facebook and kept it safe. Would highly recommend. Friendly helpful staff. �
not been since the beginning of the takeover. oh wow, very impressed and greeted by friendly staff. We never booked, but they managed to fit us in (table for 4) Carvery was yummy. It was lovely to go out for a meal and not be rammed, and queues everywhere like it use to be. Well Done all x
We just had the best pizza made here lastnite by George (I think his name is) very nice young man extremely polite it was the best pizza we've had in a long time!!! Also had top service by a lovely lady called shell she was more than happy to help with our piccy requests ... We will definitely be coming back with the service we had. P.s the new restaurant looks lovely.

Just taken the family here for dinner. The kids had pizza. They were very generous and beautifully cooked. They both then helped them selves to the salad bar. The rest of us had burgers. They were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The place was very clean and the staff were really friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.
Haven't been here in years, but it was always a decent meal. Has been redecorated and pizza oven added, along with a selection of dishes in addition to the usual carvery menu. We had carvery. Food was hot, good selection of meats and side dishes, good value for money. Options to "go large" available. Staff were helpful and friendly, atmosphere was pleasant. Was busy, but not packed (6.30 pm, midweek). Recommended.
Staff friendly and helpful. Food from the carvery was nicely cooked and hot. My son had a pizza which he enjoyed as it was freshly cooked. I'm in a wheelchaur at the moment, there was plenty of room for me even though the restaurant was busy.
Came for lunch the other day, good atmosphere, good drinks and amazing food! Pet friendly which is a bonus, our meals were a really decent size! I couldn't even finish it and I normally always finish food! Will definitely be back over and over!

Staff very friendly, helpful and fully masked during this dreadful time. Food excellent as always. Nice outdoors area overlooking the nature reserve. Kid friendly and dogs allowed in garden too. Two drinks (pint of bitter and a latte), one traditional carvery and one large carvery £25. Very good value for money

Full carvery. What else can I say. Ordered a couple of Sunday large size. a true family tradition and kids meals. Plenty of meat and fresh veg. Cleaned my plate. Afterward went to garden to let the kids have a play.
Lovely Sunday carvery! Bar staff lovely and friendly and very welcoming. Nice choice of beers on draught and nice selection of wines. Food was tasty and set out nicely. It was getting busy so booking might be advisable. Plenty of parking across the road and would be easy for wheelchair access.
Breakfast starts at 9:00am, staff very helpful and the breakfast was good 👍 it's extra for mushrooms although you do get black pudding as part of the breakfast. All in all very good.
Carvery absolutely outstanding. Fantastic value for money, staff very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. Definitely will be returning.
