Samuel Barlow Bar & Restaurant - Tamworth - Photo album

We visited on a bank holiday weekend afternoon, and we were not quite sure what we would find, as the information online is largely out of date. The Samuel Barlow is set in a very pleasing location on a delightful stretch of the canal, with a terrace overlooking Alvecote Marina. It could be a real d
Amazing food, service was quick and the prices were reasonable. The place is dog friendly as well. Lovely area and a great stop off from a walk along the canal. Will definitely be coming back. A lovely little gem.
A nice traditional public house. A sociable landlord. The Taylor's Landlord beer is just as it should be. This pub serves mead.
When for a lovely walk along the canal with the family. Stopped off at the Samuel Barlow for a snack at the halfway point. Just had sides of chips with dips, cheesy chips and onion ring. Really nice portion sizes and reasonably priced too. A good selection of ales too. A great stop off point.
Can't give this place enough stars. Really friendly service, delightful home cooked meals for a good price. Love having a roast here on a Sunday. They have a boat gathering festival every August back holiday weekend which is great to come along to as well, bbq, bands and the like. Really good locati
Had a fabulous few pints and cheese and onion cob. Great atmosphere and Phil is amazing 🥰
The kitchen isnt doing meals but there are snacks available and choice of beers
These folks really know how to host a weekend party gathering... Great food smashing Ale and friendly staff. Can't wait to go again!
No hot food at present, sandwich only, nice location, work on car park spoils the views, does not look open when you first arrive.
Always like visiting this place. Nice staff, good bear and great outside space on the canal.
Lovely setting, we enjoyed their Burgers and Fish n Chips on our last visit. Previous stop there they had live music. Great place to get to on the bike from Polesworth and would recommend especially on a sunny day. Booking essential at the moment but it's really easy to do so in their website. T
Fantastic pub stop on our walk. Lovely outside area, fairly priced drinks. Loss of one star because a staff member wouldn’t change the dog water bowl outside as advised “we don’t manage it” which is obviously a bit odd.
We enjoyed a very pleasant Sunday lunch at this canal side pub after mooring up close by. The traditional Sunday roast was served as a generous portion and met with my partner's approval. The service was good and the clientele were friendly and accommodating (we had my eighteen month old granddaugh
Nice pub and staff. Strange way to praise a place but I had a ropey pint of beer and it was changed straight away with no problems and an apology. ( it had gone, not their fault, beer does go manky when it is done). Grub is basic pub grub but very good. The pub is clean tidy and has a nice atmosphe
