Fabulous little pub, a proper pub just like in the good old days, with comfortable surroundings and great beer. Friendly, welcoming, we'll be back. Update: lunchtime food is fabulous! I just wish they served it into the evening.

Always come in here when in Tamworth for the September CAMRA beer festival. Plus points it's a Joules pub so the decor is very traditional pub, tied house type of decor (I would describe as "Samuel Smiths lite" and that is no criticism) ie lots of Joules branded mirrors traditional bar counter basi

Great little character pub with an excellent selection of ales and gins. Live music available some nights. Accommodating staff and dog friendly. Definitely a good option for a Friday night.
To M Lewis, refering to a person as a Small woman is very rude, and if this is how you acted in the pub then I'm not surprised if you didn't find her friendly. I have used this pub for several years and have never found any member of staff rude. Service is great and value for money. By the sound of

Great little traditional pub. Brilliant range of cask ales and open fire. Ham cobs and pork pies available too. Perfect place to drop in for a quick one at lunch
