I have only visted this place once but I would definetely go there again. The sevice was great, the tables were clean and the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. The food we ordered came in about 30 mins and it was presented well and the plates were warm. This is well worth a visit and the prices aren't that bad either.
Been there a few times, all good apart from 1/4 of Iceberg In a woodern dish?? Steaks are ok tho, Worth a visit, The Mill in Worston is also worth a trip!!
Lunch time menu is great value and evening prices Arent bad. Good food. Excellent service.

We came here for lunch recently and would definitely return back. The lunch time special is very reasonably priced, with each course (starter, main and desert) all being decent portion sizes.
I had 3 items from the lunch time special, the mushrooms to start, which were cooked well, and full of flavour, the cheese really came through for me, especially when added to the bread. I had the cheese and bacon burger for the main, and it was delicious. Loads of flavour without the greasiness you can sometimes get from burgers. I'd definitely get it again and recommend it.
I had profiteroles for desert and I was disappointed by them, only because I can't eat chocolate and was told the chocolate came on the side but alas they are dipped in chocolate so I couldn't eat them. I'd have got something else had I known, but as I said, when I asked, I was told the chocolate was on the side. I would have sent them back, but the service was very slow, and I didn't want to have to wait even longer. By the time of paying, we'd been there almost 2 hours, which is too long for lunch for me. Due to the issue with the profiteroles and the slow service, I've removed a star.
My partner had a starter (the prawns and avocado) from the main menu, which she said was really lovely but a bit lacking on the avocado. She had the steak sandwich and the apple pie from the lunch time special menu and said both were really fantastic, full of flavour, and would definitely get them again.
Overall we had a lovely time, the food was cooked really well, the prices were great, and the staff were really friendly, polite, and professional, They maybe needed another person on as we did find it to be slow service. We will definitely be going back again, though, and do recommend coming here.
Lovely restaurant and fantastic steaks. The steaks were cooked perfectly, could not fault them, not sure what the wedge added to the dish but each to their own!
Spicy wings starter was ok but a little dull to look at on the plate. We would of scored the atmosphere higher if we had not been seated at a table that felt like it was part of the thoroughfare.
Lovely place, great friendly vibe in a gorgeous Tudor farmhouse. Fantastic succulent steaks with tasty side dishes. Steaks all cooked to our personal preferences. Our waiter Mehmet was brilliant! Kept the whole party happy and nothing was too much trouble.
First time dining here since before the pandemic, came for my birthday and it was a brilliant treat. Food was outstanding, the staff were brilliant, in particular Luiza that waited on us was polite, friendly and smiley all night. We had three course lunch menu. Service and surroundings were excellent but most importantly the food was superb. We felt that the mini desert and coffee idea is great as we had very little room left for anything larger but managed to have a taste without any waste. Many thanks to our excellent waiter and staff and compliments to the chefs. Great value for money in a proper restaurant environment Will definitely be back
My wife and I came here to the Talke restaurant for our anniversary and I have to say I was extremely impressed with every aspect of our visit. The building is well kept, the carpark is ample, and the grounds tidy. Then, upon entering, we were greeted, shown to our table, and allowed to settle before ordering drinks. The temperature was just right, and there was a relaxed atmosphere. We had the set price lunch menu and added the reasonably priced 3 for £10 sides. Every course was ample size and cooked to perfection. I don't often rave about an eating experience, but this experience was worth it. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible, I just hope it was not a one off!
Came for Saturday dinner for a birthday meal. We had a bottle of the house red which was pleasant. Between three of us we had the chateaubriand served rare and ribeye served medium. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavour, especially the ribeye. Great béarnaise sauce also. The wedge salad was as expected, blue cheese is my personal choice. The onion loaf was a pleasant surprise! Overall the service was great and I was very impressed with the food after not visiting for many years. (Will try not to leave it so long next time!)
Not been for a while but this place is still the greatest steak restaurant. The building has real character and the lighting and music as you approach the door works well.
The guy on the front desk and Steak Expert Louisa have perfected their trade with their friendly professionalism and attention to detail.

Lovely food, the waiter was friendly, helpful and made us laugh. Expensive meal which we usually couldn't have afforded without a nice gift card.
Great atmosphere, comfortable seating and really great service. The drinks and food menus are extensive which is a large plus. The most notable thing is the steak obviously, the doneness is always done perfectly which is rare to find. Overall great for special events due to the pretty high price but the price is completely acceptable.
Had an absolutely fantastic day there today for my daughters surprise birthday meal , the lady who looked after us was brilliant she never stopped and went along with the secret . Will definitely be going again, the food was lovely. Lady on the bar was very good too and recommended a lovely red wine .

Great meal tonight, went on Sunday and had the good value set meal with a few upgrades. Food was excellent all round. Service was great too.
It was my partner's first time at M&C (talke location). It was a birthday treat. Louisa, our server, was very caring and genuinely a nice person. She made us both feel very taken care of. Her protégé in training was wonderful and will develop into a great employee.
The food was wonderful and everyone went above and beyond to look after me with my food allergies.

The food was great, our waiter, Oliver,
was very good. He was very knowledgeable and talked us through all the different types of steaks. He made recommendations which were excellent, and made sure we were happy with everything. He was very professional and courteous and made the night very pleasant.
Beautiful building but sadly looking tatty inside, is in desperate need of ‘making good’ and decorating.
I don’t know if the venue was short staffed (saw plenty walking around aimlessly) but I had to ask someone if we could order food after waiting 20 minutes.
