I enjoy coming here. Its a lovely place with a great small community /village atmosphere. It provides a safe and warm space for community groups as well as for walkers, hungry folk, or simply for those in need of a quiet, comfy space for coffee. There are many options on the menu, both food and drink wise. Reasonable prices and time to wait for food. Customer service is fantastic. The lady serving everyone couldn't have been more friendly or attentive. The place is lined with books to browse or buy. The Strand sits at the bottom of the old road, a fabulous walk which at the moment has snowdrops peeping out everywhere. Sunday dinner here is great, but book or come early to avoid disappointment. The strand offers delivery too. A hidden gem.

Such a beautiful cafe with lots of personality - we visited July 22 during our visit to Talgarth. Great service, and a great little place for a bite to eat. - oh and an excellent place to pick up a good book!

Wonderful café bookshop. Charmingly decorated, with great coffee and cake. Friendly staff. Seems to be a useful community hub too.

Dropped by Easter Sunday after a walk to the water falls. Super place loads of books.I can imagine that this is quite a busy place on a nice day. Party of 6 for lunch. Sunday lunch seemed a very good price with an option of having 1,2 or 3 courses fellow diners finished every bit of theirs. We opted for sandwiches /toasties which also proved to be great. The van kept coming back and forth delivering what I presume were Sunday lunches Would definitely recommend.

Quirky cafe with lots of seating. Good selection of food and drinks. Food lovely but service and arrival of food a little slow.

Stopped here whilst cycling. The food was good and plentiful. We arrived just as it opened and when we left it was getting quite busy. The small village feel and the books made it quaint. An enjoyable stop.

Lovely place with a great small community /village atmosphere. Huge choice of options on the menu and the customer service was fantastic. The lady serving everyone couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. The only reason that I have given 4 instead of a 5 is because my poached eggs were slightly overdone and there was a fair amount of water on my plate obviously from the transfer, the butter for my toast had just come out the freezer too so were like little bricks haha. I also was waiting for more than I anticipated but I suppose I did come on a Sunday and didn't know you had such an extensive Sunday roast delivery schedule! The coffee was great, I would absolutely come again

Very relaxed place, good coffee and lovely lunch. Wide Menu options. The owner allowed our Dog to come inside which was very helpful, thanks

Surprising find in the town. Seems everywhere else was closed for refurbishment or shut for the season. We were the only ones in there (though take out van was going round in circles!) and the food was good, home cooked style food. Could brink our own alcohol as they had no license. All good though the desert options should he better!
