English country pub with an unspoilt interior serving cask ale. Really good experience. A range of baguettes are served that are excellent value, but only at lunch time.

Lovely pub, we have been visiting for years. Terry is so welcoming, a great selection of ales (and gins!) each time we've visited. The baguettes are always filled to the brim. Can't speak highly enough of this pub

One of the best pubs in my neck of the woods - just a little too far away to be a regular unfortunately. Completely unspoiled country hostelry always offering a warm welcome, excellent ales and food in the cosiest of "olde worlde" interiors. I'll be back. Also a favourite venue for the Kennet Morris Men, and Terry, mine host, seems to like us too!

The Plough has so much to offer. 1. There are so many interesting items to see around the pub. I advise people to take the time to see the many unique things which are on display. It is ideal for people who are intellectually curious. 2. There is a lovely clock in one of the corners. It is lovely. I took some photographs of it as I found it to be extremely alluring. 3. The baguettes are filling and nicely prepared. There is a good choice and the menu is handwritten, which is unique. As far as I know, they only do baguettes, but it is attractive as the portions are of a good size with great fillings. The bacon and Brie is really nice. 4. The other customers at the pub were really nice and welcoming. They made an effort to be friendly and engage in conversation. 5. We were greeted warmly and the woman who assisted us was really nice and helpful. She told us that she had just returned from Barbados, which was an excellent conversation-starter. We spoke about Caribbean holidays. I stated that I would recommend a You Tube channel, but I didn't get the chance to write it down for her. There is a channel called "Gladys and Kenny." They are a couple who have decided to travel the World. They make good-quality videos, but not in a bragging sort of way. I recommend this place. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.

Very good local pub with a friendly atmosphere. The decor is classic old school, the are 2 very nice, old looking wood burning stoves. The bar staff were friendly enough and the beers on tap were very reasonably priced, especially for a pub down south! We went on a Friday and it was busy, but I think that adds to the atmosphere, but turn up early to get a table if you're a big group. I will definitely be returning on the not too distant future and recommending this pub to friends and family. Oh, and it is cash only, so come prepared.

Proper pub, with cosy unspoiled interior. Ales and cider on gravity, limited but tasty food options limited to baguettes.

Best pub ever, like stepping back in time… Cosy, untouched or modified by companies that want to turn every old rural pub into some kind of cute cottage style restaurant. Amazing baguettes 12-2 on weekday. Pretty garden to watch sunset in. Fires lit. Dogs welcome. Friendly service. Friendly customers. Perfect!
