Lovely food, beer and service. Mandy and Pauline great hosts. Fantastic country pub with a great beer garden for eating outside. Cash only but as long as you know not a problem.
Absolute delight of a pub. Managers Pauline and John are so friendly.
The food is deelish. Macaroni is my fave and does not disappoint.
Stayed in Stutton and this pub is 2 mins walk.
Beer Garden in pub is massive and a total sun trap.
Would definitely recommend this place
The food was wonderful, home cooked and generous portions!! The chef and waiting staff are really friendly and treat you like family 😊
The food let it down a bit but the atmosphere and staff were lovely
We haven't been able to get together as a group for the last two years and so we're delighted to have had our first reunion over Sunday lunch at the Hare & Hounds in Stutton.
Excellent choice it was too - we were made very welcome by all the bar and kitchen team and enjoyed excellent range of Pork,
Trying to find a pub that was open today, after doing the excellent Towton Battlefield Walk was turning into a right old game. We came by this pub by accident, and what a find. A lovely old place, with incredibly friendly staff and a really warm welcome. Steak and Ale pie for me, and my Sister had C
Sunday lunch was delicious. Roast beef and yorkshire pudding was amazing! Lovely country pub with a large beer garden. Definitely recommended a visit if in the area. Landlords are very welcoming. 5 stars!
I cant rate this place on food this time as we only went for a drink outside. But there was plenty of outdoor seating and parking. There isn't any heaters but we managed with jackets. The managers were absolutely lovely and very friendly. They are us feel very welcome.
Lovely country pub, visited on a Monday evening so fairly quiet but a warm welcome from the landlord considering we were not local. Excellent local bitter and very good food. A hidden gem!
Great Sam Smith's pub with lots of charm and character.
Food was good & the beer spot on. Great for a visit if doing a walk from Tadcaster.
Called in this pub after doing a local walk from an old pub walks book. A very old stone building. Really authentic, exposed stone interior, open fires and good quality old style furniture and nice wood paneling on bar. Very tidy inside. Had lunch which was standard pub grub but very nice, very hot
Good home cooked food and a nice old school pub it's cash only which is no problem for me cash rules
Called for the first time for Sunday Roast and wasn't let down one little bit, roast beef had by both and njoyed it all, extra gravy asked for and given.
