Excellent place to visit for top quality food. Always very welcoming and friendly. The spice has an extensive menu that caters for everyone. Highly recommended if you like Indian Cuisine.

An impromptu visit last night and the food was superb. We asked for a dish which was not listed on the menu and when it came out it was cooked to perfection.. will definitely be heading back soon.. thanks guys
We visited recently,with a party of 14 to celebrate my Sons 18th Birthday . From start to finish the whole evening was fantastic . The Manager was lovely and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure the evening was enjoyed by all. The food was lovely and everyone who visited said they would definately return again.
Would highly recommend and as a family look forward to our next visits ....

Have been here twice and this place is always crowded. Too many options in their buffet menu and the food is good, specially on weekends. Also good for small parties

First time takeaway order. Food was amazing. My daughter is dairy free- no problem - and her curry was just as good as the others. My wife is vegetarian and big choice with tasty food not over spiced as with many Indian veg options we have tried. Generous portions, good price, helpful staff and order ready on time.

We visited on a Monday evening and it was very quiet. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We went along with their recommendations when selecting from the menu and were so pleased we did! Can honestly say it's the best Indian meal we have ever had - and we've had many! The portion sizes were generous- the starter was half the size of a main meal. An excellent experience that was well worth the 2 hour drive to get to! We will be back 😀
We came last night and it was incredibly busy when we arrived. The staff were still very warm and friendly though and couldn't do enough for us. The lady on the bar was wonderful and got us seated as quickly as she could whilst also trying to man the bar. The food was absolutely beautiful. Best pashwari naan I have ever had! And the Chicken dish I had was so so tasty!
Everyone works super hard there you can tell.

The lady Matre 'D' is very knowledgeable about the food, helpful and friendly! She's worked here for years, knows everything about the food, so ask ! All the staff are polite and friendly.
We had 4 Popadoms and the pickle tray with extra red onion mix as pre starter, Popadoms are fresh and crispy. Big size portions of the pickle tray! First time ever we've actually left some !
Then we ordered onion bhaji starter, with small bit of salad and lemon slice. These come as 2 per portion! slighter smaller than a tennis ball size ! Hence we shared starter.
Then I had chicken Tikka masala ( the best I've ever tasted) and I've eaten Indian food all around the UK , Jay had Hariyali chicken, it's marinated in their in house green masala and cooked in a green spicy herb sauce, coriander is a key factor. You can ask for extra chilli or garlic in any dish. We had mushroom rice between us, and a portion of chapati. ( Comes as two pieces)
I took a third of the rice and a good portion of my masala home!
This place is well worth a try ! Garenteed you will come back !
I also had 3 double Brandies and lemonades, and Jay had 3 pints of kingfishers. Total bill came to £80.

Visited on 23rd March as a foursome. Horrible rainy night out but lovely and relaxed in the spice. All four meals were plentiful and tasty, the service staff taking time out to explain the dairy free options for one of the party.

Best place in whole of Leicester to have a curry. Food and service is amazing. Make sure to try the sizzler, cheese and chilli roti and the amazing variety of curries. Easy to find, plenty of parking and a bus route just outside. They offer take away options too. Drinks are amazing. Make sure to take advantage of the Indian beers on offer to make your meal taste even better. Make sure to finish off your dinner with one of their tasty desserts. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Had a wonderful celebrating a special birthday. We had a wonderful evening with great food & excellent service. Could not be faulted. Will be returning soon.
I visited Spice of India for the first time last night and I certainly will be going back! I was very impressed with the food which was beautiful.
The garlic and cheesy naan were both very tasty, my lamb main was cooked to perfection, with every bite melting in my mouth and the egg and chicken rice was yummy.
My partner had the meat tower which we ordered on recommendation and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive and personable and the meals are reasonable priced.
I highly recommend giving Spice of India
What a brilliant time we had for Sean’s 70th birthday in the function room last night.
Everything was perfect and all if the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Everything was 5* star from start to finish. Firstly I would like to give hi five to Heena, who welcomed us with open arms coming from myself Hina❤️then Harry who was such a lovely gent who served us with a smile and so attentive. Such a credit to this place. Equally all the other staffs was as much on par and gave us amazing reccommendation. We will be back for sure 🥰
Place is good.. Was very busy.. Slightly dated thing which I found to be interesting.. Like food brought on trolly... But over all place was modern and food was okay more chilly than taste.. when it arrives.. Down side. Parking area very small and on street park is the limited. For the size of the place you would expect parking to be large.. Not the case.. Also all the waiters and waitresses where rushed off the feet.. way too many customers in proption to staff.. Also check your bill.. Things like poppadoms are not on menu and offered but not free.. So is the red chopped onions.. Ask so you don't have a surprise..overall good place but book ahead and get there early as you may encounter parking issues... Like I did..
We had our work's belated Christmas do at this lovely restaurant and well what can I say I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The atmosphere, service and food was amazing. We will be definitely visiting again.
First time here, we came on a Friday night. Staff where very welcoming and friendly. Only waited 10 minutes s to be seated. There was a party of 15 and the starters came out on time and was spot on, also the mains. Table service was good. Cobra all the way, 660 bottles too. All our food was good and hot. Deffo come again.
The most delicious food with great service and atmosphere! I am visiting from Australia for 4 weeks and have had 3 curries from the spice of India in this time (it would’ve been 4 but I was in London for a week!). One of these occasions was a takeaway and the quality was just as good as dine in. One of the best chicken tikka masala’s I’ve ever had, lovely entrees, fresh naans and rice. Can’t wait for my next trip to the UK to come back!!
This place is a true gem! Hina is the hostess with the mostess! Everytime we have been we have been greeted with such warmth, she really makes everyone feel so welcome! The other staff are equally attentive, polite, friendly and really on the ball.., it's a great atmosphere! The food is outstanding ... the mixed grill is my fave... but the curries are delicious too! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! It's just consistently outstanding! Thankyou so much, I look forward to my next visit!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Leicester. The good is great but what really makes this place is the service, even the owners take so much pride in welcoming their customers, you don't really see that anywhere else. Prices are great and portions sizes are amazing. Highly recommend
