A wonderful evening out with super food and excellent service. Reservations are a must over the weekend as it gets very busy, however, despite how busy it was, we were served quickly by very attentive staff. The food was beautifully presented. The tacos were very good indeed. The bao buns were soft and fresh. The flat bread was delicious. The cheesecake was okay but, in my opinion, slightly bland and lacking in flavour. Reservations are a must over the weekend as it gets very busy. My only complaint was that a huge spider came in, which I trapped under a glass for it to be rescued, but, as I was looking for a member of staff to take it back outside, another staff member stamped on it and killed it.

They've thought a lot about the décor, it looks great. It's huge both indoors and outdoors and has parking. We went for food on a Sunday when there was a good pizza and a drink deal on. The pizzas came out super fast and were good, excellent for the price. There was also enough choice for vegetarians.

Lovely atmosphere, and friendly helpful staff. Large patio and seating area inside and outside. Will be fantastic in summer. Food was amazing and very hot. We had the craft beer and that was very good too. We'll definitely be coming back again.

Love this place. Food was imaginative and well presented....and tasted good too. I am so fed up with going to pubs that only feelings are the same old pie and chips, gammon and chips , fish and chips and burger. There was a reallygood variety on this menu. We will certainly come again. One point though. I wish you had had a bit more about the history of the name....apart from one area of William Morris wallpaper. Tadpole Garden Village architecture was based on the Arts and Crafts movement...the pub could pay homage to that ....just a bit more history please?

The atmosphere (vibe) in the pub was amazing. Loads going on and music loud enough that you could comfortably have a conversation without others being able to listen in. Food was great and priced correctly for the quality. Pizza was on the salty side is my only little moan. The tacos were nice but could do with a little more braising juice. The staff were amazing and cleared our table within 5 minutes of us finishing our food. We had a small issue with a missing pizza, but this was rectified quickly. I’ll certainly be coming again.

Very impressed with the service. With a large number of staff available on the bar we didn't have to wait long for drinks. Food although cooked to a good standard was a little bland and desperately lacking spice. (However the waitress did bring us hot sauce on request, so good service there.) The large patio area was nicely laid out with plenty of seating available, however with no grassy areas available it's not particularly child friendly.

Great decor & outside area but long queues for the bar. I Bought a pint & a glass of white wine, pint was great but the wine was warm & I had to wait a long time for it to be swapped for another which was also warm. All in all I spent 30 minutes waiting for drinks. I’m hoping to be able to give five stars in the future. Update…. Waiting times seem to have reduced but I think the actual bar itself could have perhaps been bigger to enable people to spread along it more but that said it’s a beautiful pub & well worth a visit.

Had a work get together with friends. Lovely place in a great location. Food was lovely... service swift. Delicious! Only downside was my cola cost more than a red wine... Pic shows the spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast on a cream and thyme sauce with spicy rice. The salad was dressed beautifully. Highly recommended...

It's not as expensive as some make out though the fish and chips is very expensive. Easy to get there on the new number 4 bus. Good service and nice food opposite lake country like feel. A lot of outside space. Liked the Arkells IPA. Lot better than 3Bs in my opinion.

Great food our party of 8 had a selection of Sunday lunch roasts and pizzas at midday on Sunday. The pub is dog friendly which for us is good on our next visit. The big let down was the service. We asked for a drinks menu 15 mins after being seated but were were not given one and we to had to rely of memory of waitress of what was available. Although it says on the menu roasts maybe served at a different time to the pizzas. This was really annoying as half the party had finished their rare roast beef dinners, as it took over 1/2 hour for pizzas to be served (why not hold the roast back and serve the meals together?) We were given dessert menus and waited a further 30 mins by which time we were fed up so asked for the bill and left.

Food is good. But stay away from the 🥩. It's overpriced and tiny (literally 2 bites!) Much smaller than the starter I ordered! Staff don't offer service outside which is a bit strange. But the atmosphere is good and the others who ordered other kinds of food were happy with the quality of their food.

We visited here for the pizza and a drink deal for £10 on a Sunday evening. We were a table of 5 and we all enjoyed our food, it was cooked fresh and hot. The place has a lovely atmosphere and for the price we recommend.
