We visited the area on a Friday night and specifically for Carribbean food this place was recommended. We weren't disappointed. Everything was spot on. The service by Dawn was great and she was very friendly and welcoming and really interested in us and what we were after on the menu and as a couple to get to know us which is very rare when you go to restaurants so we felt that special service from her.
The food was quality right from the starters to the mains. Plenty of flavours throughout and the sizes were just right. We were stuffed by the end.

I had takeaway delivery. The food is fantastic and stick a great selection of vegan items! So tasty and the portions are huge. I had the rasta pasta main and there was easily enough for 2 people, saved some for the following day. Also had a couple of sides, dumplings in gravy and aloo balls. Again delicious but had to save some for the next day 😂

Amazing food,even though a Covid-slimmed-down menu meant there was no bun & cheese or homemade cake, but fabulous reggae music playing in the background. Lovely people, had a great time, would definitely go back again & again & again. It's a small place across two floors so book ahead! Oh and I loved the salt n pepper pots 😂

My girlfriend and I shared starters, and a mixed grill, as well as taking advantage of a special offer for 2 cocktails.
We loved the atmosphere, service was efficient and friendly, and dishes are fairly priced.
We can recommend, and will definitely come back for more on our next visit to Swindon!

Five of us went last night, food was superb as it always is, mushroom starter was juicy with the right amount of heat, lamb and jerk chicken were so tasty, the rum punch and cocktails were banging. This is one of Old Town’s jewels, if you haven’t tried it before then you need to👌

Our first visit to Moshan Island Grill was fab. The restaurant is above the takeaway and we received a warm welcome from the friendly, family team that run it.
The decor is basic, but that's not the reason to eat here; the food is authentic Caribbean cooking - generous portions full of rich flavours and without a ridiculous price. Drinks, including cocktails, are also keenly priced - our party of 4 shared a couple of jugs of the rum punch, which I'd certainly recommend.
A great evening, shared with friends in a warm and welcoming establishment; as it was one of the hottest evenings of the year, even the heat added to our Carribbean experience, but rain or shine, this is a lovely friendly venue, serving delicious food and drinks.

Wow, what amazing food this was, hot, fresh and plenty of it. Great value for money and you definitely won’t leave hungry. The staff are absolutely superb too working really hard to keep everyone happy. I would thoroughly recommend. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you x
