Gotta love Longs bar. On bank holiday weekends they do a free BBQ! It is amazing, you can donate to a charity box, which pretty much everbody does but you get free burgers, sausages etc. There is always such a good atmosphere here, with lots of different areas. They have outside area with heating lamps, 3 bars (one outside, one in main area and another at the back of the bar) which means you never seem to have to wait for too long to get your drink.
They get DJ's in for brilliant music, they sit up on a sort of balcony thing looking down onto the people in the bar. Definitely one to visit if you're in Old Town.
I`m a regular at Longs in Old Town. The crowd there is generally over 21s (great!). In the summer there is a nice conservatory area to chill out in. The decor is good and the back opens out into a large area. Longs serve food all day long which consists mainly ciabattas, pannins, burgers, tortillas, steaks and salads. Food is reasonably priced and the quality is good.
Trendy, busy wine/beer bar in Old Town. Drinks are quite pricey but it's always crowded. Very limited beer selection, mostly imports. Nicely kept though.
This is a great place to come for drinks and the food is amazing. it has just been refurbed and has a fantastic atmosphere and feel to it. i have been going here for years and it has never been bettet.

When we first arrived, we were shown to a table. That threw me a little as it's my first time here, as we are not from Swindon.
Once seated, we wanted to get a drink and then realised it was a table service. Which is good in a sense. You know your drinks will be safe, but it did take a little while before we were served. The waitress did give me a bit of a weird look, which made me feel uncomfortable, but after that, the service was good. They kept coming over and making sure all was OK.
I liked it here, but you couldn't really hear each other talk. It's pretty loud. We were on a hen do with family, which I haven't seen in a while, but we were looked after. We were even moved to the back area where there was more room, and it was a little less noisy.
There is also an area at the bottom of the bar where you can go and vape and smoke, which is great as it meant you didn't have to keep leaving the premises.
The food was OK. We just had curly fries, but some were a little hard. But all good, though.
The drinks were reasonably priced, it was buy two for a £10. So, five pounds each is not too bad.
The loos were clean and tidy, too. Bonus. All in all, it was a decent place. Would I go again, yes!
Love it!!! You have to order the absolute passion, such a tasty drink, and the pulled pork fries were amazing and such good value for money. The mother clucker was also very decent.
Great service from two very friendly barmen. The music was lovely. The drinks were served promptly. We popped in during the late afternoon for a quick drink and a game of cards. Thank you, definitely see you again soon.
Had a great evening at Longs. Alisha is the best waitress I have had in a very long time. She is super lovely.
Had a lovely catch up with a friend over lunch and a few cocktails. Great service, friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Favourite bar in old town, great drinks and food!
18 of us on a Hen doo turned up without a booking on a sat evening & doorman and staff were brilliant at accommodating us all and finding us our own area & even got us a round of shots for free..we stayed for hours. All the staff were brilliant and polite.

Great Bar situated in Old Town Swindon! I visited Longs Bar for a Sunday roast with my wife and little one! Very well priced, excellent food! We had everything you would want with a roast, it was Cooked to perfection!! Roasties, pigs in blanket, stuffing, Yorkshire, Veg and beautiful meat! The chicken was amazing!! The staff were all class and couldn't of been more welcoming! If your in Swindon and want a Sunday Roast

I have been here twice for occasions, booked the floral conservatory for my 30th and the same again for my sisters hen do and had tipsy tea and cocktail master class, but have also come many times in the evenings. I would 100% recommended longs bar to everyone. The staff are fantastic and go above and beyond to make everything perfect for the customer. The cocktail master class was superb. It is not like your typical class where you make three basic cocktails have a sip and move on, there are games, lots of varieties of cocktail and it’s not cringe worthy at all. Tipsy tea I also could not fault. We were late arriving due to road works I phoned ahead and they delayed our start time so we got the full time slot. The cocktail choice was great and the staff were very attentive with refills and ensuring customers were happy. Food was delish as well great selection of cakes and sandwiches. Longs bar do the best selection of cocktails on their menus and the 2 for 1 deal is all day every day so you have lots to choose from. I will do sure book again for the next big celebration and I would always choose to drink here on a night out.
