Stopped off here after visiting the museum
Quick snack food
Had no tea left and only 1 member of staff doing everything
Second time we visited, great experience
Brilliant cafe attatched to a wonderful museum. Plenty of choice, with choice for any appetite l.
What a lovely cafe above the STEAM museum. The choice of drinks snacks and meals is very good as well as being very reasonably priced. This was our first visit and we were impressed by the friendly warm welcome from the staff, the speed of service and the cleanliness of the cafe as a whole. We will
Excellent family day out. Really lovely interactive museum. Great day with 1 and 2 year old toddlers but great for adults and all ages between. Staff were fantastic and awesome covid cleaning and setup
For a lover of museum like me, this place is gold. My son also enjoys here a lot. I have a season ticket. The museum is in walking distance... So not a trouble for me going in there. I am not accustomed to the food here... It's okay for me. Not that I will crave for. Staff is good.
My son absolutely loves this museum.. His favourites are the footplate steam engine driving simulation, the signalling levers and the shunting interactive display. He also likes assembling the various wooden bridges. We have visited several times now, so getting an annual pass was necessary. The ca
Me and my 4 year old had a wonderful day at STEAM yesterday. With the help of the volunteers and with lots of room to run around, it was brilliant. We also had lunch at the cafe which was very good value for money. A great day out!
Excellent story line and set scenes with their noises & voices. Particularly liked the employee being told off for his bad timekeeping! I would suggest adding an interactive display to "The Fastest Train Ever" and spot lighting the relevant parts as, even when walking under the train (that was a gre
It was a nice little cafe with big queues and not enough staff apart from that I can't complain.
The kids loved the interactive parts (train driving simulation, signals and other bits) I loved the roundabout cider in the giftshop and my wife didn't complain about any of it. So she must have had a good time too despite the trains. Will definitely go again
Brilliant for social history, not just trains, and just opposite the shopping village (Swindon Outlet Village) so if you have people with you who don't like museums they can shop! The National Trust Headquarters are on the same site as well, that is also worth a visit, and has a good cafe.
Fascinating exhibits. Very descriptive information boards/videos and an amazing range of hands-on activities for kids. Wide range of restored and rescued equipment and tools. Would definitely recommend for all ages.
A nice enough cafe and even though it's upstairs there is a disabled lift. It's always was an amazing that's why it's only got 4 stars but the food was ok and at the end of the day it's a cafe within the Museum and they are never really fantastic however I found the staff friendly the food ok if not
Fascinating museum which my grandchildren (3, 6 & 7) loved. Cafe was clean, very reasonable and with some of the best food I’ve ever experienced in a public attraction. Will definitely return.
Fantastic homemade food that has clearly had a good bit of thought and love put into it. Great value for money too especially compared to other museum restaurants.staff were very friendly and jovial too!
