Stayed here for over a week, was meant to only be four nights. Very nice quiet place to stay in our tourer.
Our Host David and Karen were very welcoming and all staff in the pub and restaurant were excellent. We had a couple of lovely meals which were very delicious thank you.
Shall be back again.

A lovely welcome on arrival. Had booked a table which allowed us to bring Aunties dog. Table was ready on arrival. Food was quick to arrive and very tasty. Will definitely be returning. Lovely outdoor area also.
All the staff have wonderful customer service, the food is delicious always hot, we was so impressed with it, we decided to try their valentines meal ❤️

We can honestly say this was the best meal we have had for a long time. Food was cooked to perfection, great selection on the plate and hot! Our first visit but have the caravan booked for 2 nights and can’t wait for our next palate teaser!! Clive@Gill
We booked a table the night before, it was open 12.00 till 2.00. Friendly, helpful staff with the usual Arkells menu. We would go again.

They catered to our group of 16 with some of the best pub food we’ve ever had. Amongst all of us the only complaint was there was too much food. 😋 The bar staff were great, compliments to the chef!
Excellent service from booking to end of meal. Lovely atmosphere. Food excellent and hot. Sorting bill for 9 was easiest ever come across. Staff could not have bee more frieny,accommodating and helpful with one gluten free and one with allergy to potatoes. No fuss made.looking forward to return visit
Got to say that the Freke Arms has taken a turn for the better.Before it was looking a bit tired but looks so much better since the change of ownership.I had the rump steak and it was perfect, our only critiscism was the steak ale bacon and stilton combination didn't in our opinion quite work. Presentation for both meals was supurb. Overall the menu is excellent and so was value for money. All the staff were very attentive and we will definitely return

I loved this gem of a place. They were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed the food with very tasty lunch menu. Disabled facilities were excellent. Wheelchair access was good and floorspace made moving easy. We will return for more. P.S. The real ale was well looked after and on form.

Lovely family lunch today, everyone enjoyed their food and the staff were very polite and efficient. We will certainly return again in the future.
