�� for over two years I hadn’t been as the last time I went I was disappointed,, how that changed on Thursday night when I was out with a group of ladies of 23 or more along with a second group of about the same,, the meal had been pre booked off the festive menu but a menu had been left on the table as a little taster for us to surly visit again,, in such cases there is little veg but no out came all the trimmings and kept coming when asked,, the staff were excellent friendly and efficient,, we hope we showed our appreciation with our gesture,, the night was a tribute night and George Michael kept us entertained very well the atmosphere was amazing,,, Tracey on behalf of all of us we thank you for your hospitality please pass on our best Christmas Wishes to all of your staff. Thursday is steak night, 2 steaks and a decent bottle of wine for £22, I paid an extra £3 to upgrade to a larger Rib Eye, delicious and perfectly cooked, mum had breaded Plaice which she enjoyed. Service was friendly and attentive, Hobgoblin beer was nice.
Just been for Father's Day lunch with the family 5 of us the food was absolutely lovely with great friendly service thoroughly recommend

Our Christmas day lunch was superb, for years we have always gone to The Bonnie Prince but it wasn't very good last year so we decided to go to The Crewe. It certainly didn't disappoint from the food to the service it was all excellent and we shall book again for 2018. Highly recommended �

A warm welcome and excellent food. Im gluten free and there was a good selection that was tasty and reasonably priced. Excellent
Outside close to road so a bit noisy. Large inside area but only a small area inside fine with dogs. Friendly but not knowledgeable staff. Fish good tasting, fries mediocre.
We were greeted and seated with a good communication and we sat where I asked. Drinks were bought over very quickly, they were lovely.
We had to call the waitress over to give her our order but she was polite and friendly.
I ordered a mixed grill and to be honest it was perfect! I wouldn’t have changed a thing on it. Steak was medium rare, as I had requested and it he rest was delicious.
Son ordered Hunters chicken, this was a little disappointing to be honest. There was a rasher of streaky bacon over it with a really small amount of barbecue sauce over the top. He reports that it tasted okay but still a little disappointing.
As my meal was so good Son helped me eat it so both of us were more than satisfied when we had finished.
We had a 30% off voucher so we were delighted with the cost of our meal.
Stayed here last week with my husband and 12year old son for a short break to Alton Towers. The hotel was lovely, clean and we stayed in a family suite which was adorable. It had the original stable dividers as a feature and stable door. Staff were so kind and friendly. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Stopped for coffee to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings. The restaurant is huge, in an historic building. Will definitely be back to try the food.
My family and I enjoyed Sunday lunch here yesterday. All of our party enjoyed our meals which were extremely tasty. Our steaks were delicious. There were also good vegan options. The service was excellent. Luke was attentive, polite, patient and efficient. It was disappointing there was no option to tip when paying the bill by card as I did not have cash to tip separately. Excellent! Thank you.
Drinks and lunch here on a Saturday, came around 11.20am- staff told us the food will be cooked when the kitchen opens at 12, no problem at all. Food came not long after 12, all fresh and tasted great. Atmosphere was great - not overly busy but was picking up by the time we left around 1. Would definitely return and recommend. Dog friendly too.
Good experience, nice food and cozy environment. We had our wedding anniversary meal and were delighted to see table being decorated for us at this occasion, very cute. We enjoyed this visit and would come back again.
Nice food, but table service needs improving. Staff clearing tables whilst others in the group still eating, is a massive no, no for me. First course delivered really prompt, but once ordered the deserts took over 40 mins to arrive, and then the custard was cold. I think staff will need to improve before the Christmas rush, otherwise you could be waiting until New Year to have all your meal. Needless to say we were disappointed 😞
The food service staff very friendly and a lovely lady that greeted us was exceptional very professional. The day I got married 1997 we came to the pub for a meal so it was lovely to meet up with friends over 30 years.
Went as a large family group, food was very good although a star deducted as limited choice of vegetarian meals. Portion size was just right and we were all served quite quickly. Our server (sorry can't remember his name) was really helpful and made it easier for us by splitting the bill into groups.
It would have been 5 stars but we did have a rather long wait for food. However, it was extremely busy, and at 30% off mains, not really a problem, also they gave us a round of drinks free. Everyone was very polite, even though they were rushed off their feet.
As part of our alphadate nights we tried this place, it was very nice too. I had a mixed grill and my better half had the lasagna, both dishes came out in good time and we were made to feel nothing was a problem for anything we asked for. The staff were very accommodating with plenty of smiles and the venue was beautifully lit. They had a good selection of drinks on the bar and the place was very clean, I had no complaints at all. We will definitely be returning on another day, so if your wondering where to go then look no further. If you like this review and it's helpful then please give it a thumbs up 👍 happy eating 😊
Overall our stay was good, the room was tidy and clean.
The food was good albeit on the night we dined there was no steak of any type available at all and the waitress was unaware of this when we made our order and then only found out when making the order at the kitchen, this was a shame, but the waitress was pleasant.
The breakfast was good and there was a nice friendly chap serving who was very well organised and friendly, it started our day off very well.
Loved it. Didn't book beforehand but no problem finding a table. Food was delicious, service was lightening fast and the place itself was nice.
