Weather it's breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch or mid afternoon brunch, this is the place to be. Excellent food, excellent service, lovely surroundings and right in the heart of the City. Cannot fault it, can only highly recommend it to everyone looking for a place to eat or just for coffee and tea.

Lovely breakfast there yesterday & very reasonably priced. Great ambience & even though it was crowded there was a quick turnover & Sam greeted everyone.
Great place to eat. Breakfasts are top notch and great value. Ditto Sunday Lunches. We usually drop in after a beach walk with the dog........and she gives the bacon rinds a 5 star too

Been here many times. This time I chose ham omelette and chips. I wasn't really happy with this but it's not the fault of the cafe. They use chunky chips which I find too dry and the omelette was huge and full of ham but, to my taste, was very overcooked and consequently also very dry. I smothered the chips in vinegar and sauce but it made no difference, likewise the omelette. I ended up giving half of my meal to my friend. The most enjoyable bit was the side salad. I won't order that again. My friend had bacon, egg, sausage and chips and enjoyed it
Always excellent Customer service and so much better than Francos next door . Food is also far more tasty and reasonably priced. My friend and I always meet in Sams if I ever pop into town and we've always had a great experience.
The restaurant is cash only which isn't a problem. I had to this time double egg and chips and my friend had a lamb dinner .
Unlike Francos you don't have to rush, can sit anywhere and they don't move you around if
you're on your own waiting.

Came across this cafe whilst wandering around Swansea looking for a bite to eat. It's a very clean, reasonably priced, no-frills cafe with a good menu. Homestyle fresh cooking and generous portions. The all-day breakfast looked amazing. Staff are pleasant and very attentive. It was very busy when we visited but we were served quickly.

Sam's is a good place to go. I've used it, as does all my family for 30 years or more. The staff are helpful and polite, the food is very good, and sensibly priced and everything is clean. What more can I say.

Just finished a lovely breakfast here at Sam's Cafe. My wife and I visited Swansea for an over night stay and were looking for a cafe to get some breakfast. We stumbled across this cafe and we were so glad we did. Breakfast was delicious staff were friendly and the place was spotlessly clean.
Nice old school café. Best best known for their breakfast. They are not shy with their portions either. They cook it all to how you like it, and the staff are very nice too you and will come to you straight away. The table spaceing is a little cramped but it's ok but it's a very nice place and the atmosphere is great. I wish more cafés were like this one. You can't go wrong with a classic 👍
My wife and I visited Swansea today and found this gem of a place to eat. The mixed grill and steak pie were absolutely outstanding. Staff very polite and efficient.
