Absolutely beautiful place to visit. In the moderate price range. Worth the money. Good quality food, Car parking available pay and display. Good option on menu. Beautiful views on the marina. Staff extremely friendly. Service was fast. Beautiful deco. Wonderful place for date night.
Stayed in a holiday let just upstairs from here and the kitchen smells were heavenly every evening! Came for dinner and had a set 2 course with a bottle of the good and reasonably priced house red wine. Starters were sardines, and calamari strips - both excellent with a nicely dressed salad. I had beef medallions in a very peppery peppercorn sauce. Beef was perfectly cooked to medium rare, sauce delicious and the chips really crispy with hot fluffy insides. My mother had the lamb shank which was very rosemary-ish and beautifully falling off the bone, but the gravy was slightly over-salted.
Good service all round and the atmosphere fun, although it was very loud and we were glad to be on a table near the door so we could hear each other talk!
Highly recommended 👍
Booked here the evening of the Swansea air show. Great service. Delicious food. My partner said it was the best steak he’d ever eaten! The swordfish was lovely and the Valencia orange cake was that good I didn’t even get a photo of it!
Went last night with a group of people. Everyone seemed pleased with their meals: I was. They do a 2 course meal £18.95 which is good value at todays prices. I had the sardines for starters and the lamb with chips for the main. All excellent. It would have been nice for a veg to have accompanied the main perhaps.
Staff helpful and good atmosphere. Parking available nearby.
For being a seaside city, Swansea doesn't have many restaurants offering fish dishes, so we were pleasantly surprised when we came across this place. The food was amazing (except the vegan brownie and icecream) and we'd definitely come back again! Only giving 4 stars as the staff were very slow and we had in total 5 different people attending our table which made it a bit messy with the ordering and the creation of the final bill.
We were passing through Swansea and visited this restaurant without a plan. Didn’t expect much but we found it was such a lovely restaurant with fantastic Spanish seafood cuisines. We want recommend this place to everyone who plans to visit Swansea. You will never get disappointed.
Fantastic food. Absolutely delicious. I think we were forgotten about at between main and dessert, but the vibe in there is so great it didn't really matter that much. Would definitely go back.
Excelet food and presentation, generous portions. Attentive service. Just got not a nice table for our dinner booking, by the wall infront of kitchen and the fridge, felt not relaxed.
Absolutely loved the fish bar. Everything was fresh and the presentation of all meals was just fab. A seafood place that is affordable and somewhat busy so be sure to book before you go! The Staff work as one unit honestly it was the smoothest service l have had in a long time
The food was AMAZING!! I forgot the name of the dish but I really enjoyed the aubergine dip sorta dish in the picture! 😋 very spacious and comfortable as well.
Been waiting for ages to visit and not at all disappointed. Very busy but this didn't adversely affect the friendly service. Booking is for a two hour slot. 2 course menu £17.95. Good value. Paprika Chips really hot (heat not spice!) Pleasant white Spanish wine.
I had meat balls in tomato sauce followed by Ling fillet. Companion had Calamari strips starter and Tagliatelle Marinera. Will certainly try to go again. Experience suggests booking is advisable.
Visited here back in July ‘22. At first was tricky to find and they asked us to come back in half an hour as didn’t have a table, and we hadn’t booked as it was a weekday and didn’t think we would have needed to. It didn’t seem like they were that bothered about finding us a table, however once we returned and were seated things improved greatly!
The food was fantastic - this is obviously a fish restaurant, so if fish isn’t your thing, you’re probably in the wrong place. My partner and I both had fish starters and fish mains, all 4 dishes and the salad were superb, there was even enough left, where they kindly packaged up into a box and allowed us to take it with us, so not to waste anything. I don’t live in this part of the world, but if I did, I would visit here regularly!!
The atmosphere is great, it's located by the marina and very short walk to the shore. The decor is very warm. When you going during twilight or sunset hour its a great place to be with friends or family.
There is a plethora of fish dishes to go around as well as meat. The food is always good and well presented. You get a good serving with your starters. The mains (though sometimes have a bit too much sauce) taste great. The tiger prawns although pricey are very big. Food is fresh and local. Would give it a try if you're in Swansea.

Nothing of the above has changed.
Pascal was our steward, another great personality.
The food runner, - star 🌟 of the evening service.
Had a wonderful experience dining here for the first time last night. Will definitely visit again in the future. Oysters were super fresh and the perfect appetiser. We also ordered Garlic bread to share and as a signature dish, it did not disappoint! See video for the tantalising roasted garlics 😌.
For the main and dessert we went with set menu. The steak was very flavourful with chargrilled taste that was super tasty and cooked to perfection how we wanted it- medium rare. Fish was also great, fish of the day was Ling and the sauce was very flavourful. One criticism I will add is that apart from potatoes or fries, the set menu mains lacked a bit of vegetables.
Dessert we had gelato affogatto and crema Catalans. Perfect ending to a memorable delicious evening meal at El Pescador 🫶🏼😊🤩🥰. X
What a great find, it's so hard to find great seafood restaurants in the UK but this is one. But of course they don't just serve seafood, there are many other meat and meat free options. The set price menu is very good value for money.
Food excellent, staff attentive and professional, prices reasonable. We will definitely return next time we're in Swansea.
Really nice place in a quiet area. The food was fresh and super tasty. Prices are also quite fair vs the quality and size of the portions. They have fresh fish and the recommendations they make are really good.
Staff is also friendly, bathrooms are clean and the overall atmosphere is nice
A real hidden gem in Swansea marina. Brilliant value for money, food was spot on, fresh (seafood selection bar is a gem), the food was a real treat, the garlic bread is not what you expect with a dish of roasted garlic cloves presented in oil, just devine. Crispy belly pork perfectly sized portion and the date puree sweetness matches the fatty richness of the belly pork, sided with crispy skin, yummy. I had tuna steak and it was gorgeous, however, star of the day by a mile if not ten... Valencia orange cake with chocolate sause and chocolate ice cream. Be prepared to sit smugly eating it and a huge smile on your face. One other little gem to mention was the Spanish ipa. Really good! Lastly, the staff, every single one was on form, genuine whenever asked for anything and on top of everything. My humble opinion, a must go, and then repeat, repeat, repeat. Which is what we will doing when there next!
