Italian cuisine in the heart of the old town in Swansea. The food is good, but it is extremely hard to get a table.
Be warned - book in advance or else you are not eating in.
The worst time to visit is Fridays afternoon and evening, and Saturdays and Sundays throughout the entire day. There is no way they would let you in.
Mobile signal reception is terrible and their wi-fi does not help much.
Fantastic service - friendly, fast, efficient.
Food tasted lovely. Ate early, at 6, so not many people present to add to the atmosphere but it looked as though it was getting quite busy and vibrant as we left, at around 7. Thank you to the front of house team for being so great 👍
Used Tesco rewards here, so no real complaints, but pasta portion sizes are small if you're paying full price. Good friendly and efficient service.
Hilarious. You can order and pay on the app but can't get a signal and their WiFi is rubbish. It's fine though. The waitress told us from the start that we could either use the app or do it the old fashioned way. I like what that old guy says in the Saga advert, it's not old fashioned it's vintage, yeah!
I'd read the reviews beforehand and the main issue appeared to be the time taken to serve the food etc. Little did they know that Escobar had a few hours to kill and so this played right into my hands.
First, clearly sensing that they had a VIP in, they served us some complimentary home made lemon juice. The starter was one of the best I have ever had in the World and I have obviously been to many excellent places for both business and pleasure. It was the nduja garlic cheese dippy thing, double yummy. The main meals were delicious too.
The waiter was enthusiastic and polite and was handsomely rewarded with a nice tip.
A lovely couple of hours spent relaxing with great food.
Watch the step on the way to the gents. I'm lucky that I always have my wits about me and so it could not catch me out but ordinary types should be careful.
My sister and I came here because we wanted pizza and we knew that Ask Italian make gluten free pizzas.
The staff were very friendly and helpful as they gave us free samples of drinks which my sister ending up enjoying and ordering for herself.
The kitchen staff went out of their way to make sure our pizza was gluten free and it tasted wonderful. You could not tell that there was no gluten in the pizza which was a relief as my sister is really fussy.
Would definitely recommend ASK as your next meal out.
Had a lovely dinner with my 2 teenage boys - we hadn't booked but were made to feel very welcome and looked after extremely well whilst dining. Food was delicious and atmosphere very pleasant - busy but could still hear our own conversation and didn't feel we were in the middle of everyone else.
Tasty food consistent taste. Good location service can be better, especially when the restaurant was really quiet
Booked in here with my son
We had a lovely service they was so nice to us.
We had starters and mains
Besutiful food.
We were there with a group of 18. We had pre ordered our food , but it still took 45 minutes to get served.
The restaurant wasn't overly busy, but they were cooking for carry outs.
After discussing with management, they did reduce our bill, which was extremely nice of them.
Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and would return.
Went early for lunch and were the first 2 there. Fantastic place and lots of brilliant options to choose from.
The restaurant filled up quickly from 12 pm, so we were glad we had got in when it opened (11:30).
