Great service,friendly atmosphere. Definitely visiting again. food was deliciously cooked well presented and suttle. Ordered the meat platter for two with a free starter, which was had a variety of meats served with rice. Yum, Yum.
Had a lovely meal at The Istanbul Restaurant last night. We couldn't fault it. Delicious food, great variety on the menu, something for everyone. The service was excellent, reasonable prices for food and drink. We all had Γ lovely night and will definitely go back

Good food and atmosphere. The only slight negative was the length of time between the starter and main course. Although, I was part of a large family gathering, celebrating a 'wedding anniversary'. Aside from the service, I would return to Istanbul because the food was very good.

Mostly grilled meat - lamb and chicken chops/wings and kebabs.
Well-sized portion sizes, friendly staff, quick service and good food.
It is maybe a little bit pricier (around Β£20 pp for a grilled meat dish) than other places in the area but this is understandable because after all it is grilled meat.
Quiet, but still welcoming on an early evening mid-week. We had a good "meat platter" for four which , with a simple starter, and modest drinks, came to Β£20 a head. Very nicely cooked grill, kebabs, wings etc. Well recommended.

Might from the outside look a tad gloomy, but as the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. This is an excellent find . Had 3 hot Meze between the 2 of us. Everything made and cooked on the premises, including the bread. Main courses, one lamb and a chicken - meat tender ,not fatty, extremely tasty. Been to Turkish restaurants in London and travelled to Turkey almost 50 times. Definitely up there with the best. Happy to recommend.
