Best pub ! Lovely friendly staff and managers, amazing food and great service. I can highly recommend this place.
Had a lunch with the family. And we'll what can I say can't recommend enough, I had rack of ribs and they were by far the best I have had in a while. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals. Presented well and didn't have to wait long. Dog friendly and ample parking. Many thanks will definitely visit again
Lovely food and staff are very attentive. Highly recommend.
Just finishing my gorgeous lunch and pudding (couldn’t resist) - totally stuffed! Have never had a bad meal. Specials are always brilliant and nice atmosphere in the bar with open fire. It’s quite a journey for us coming from Fareham but totally worth it. See you again!
Brilliant, friendly and welcoming local pub. I visit everyone I'm down south and I've never been disappointed. We'll worth a visit
First visit to this lovely country pub Very welcoming friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere .The Sunday roast was superb tasted home made with a good selection of veg and delicious gravy We had the shoulder of pork very tender and the crackle was perfectly cooked Will certainly be back would like to try one of the delicious sounding specials
Great place, company & food, though we were sad no-one would make us cheesy chips on Christmas Eve, we had been holding out for them all day! Because we drank on an empty stomach we ended up shitfaced. Hey ho. We had a lot of fun. Happy Christmas.
What a beautiful pub serving amazing obviously home made delicious food. Reasonably priced and great service, great kids menu, five stars all round . Massive thumbs up
Nice pub to sit down with a pint with your mates talking about putting the Country to right.very friendly staff🍺🍺🍺🍻
We love the Brickmakers! it's run by nice people and sells good food.
About my 5th visit there and as always, food and service was brilliant. Best full rack of ribs you'll find anywhere!! Thanks 👌🏻👌🏻
This is my local. All the family love this pub, including our dog who has been welcomed since a very small puppy. He won't walk past the door, typical of many chaps I know! Tried the new menu last night, the Italian Salad. The ingredients were delicious and I don't usually like anchovies, but the ones in the salad were lovely and reminded me of being on holiday. My daughter had the fajita nachos off the specials board, again delicious and not a morsel left on her plate. Keep up the good work. You have such friendly staff and it is like an extension to our home! I very rarely write reviews, but we need to support our local pubs. You guys work so hard and I want to thank you for being such a great boozer. I'll be back for another Italian salad and a rhubarb gin very soon!
Yep, it's a likeable pub. Food is reasonable price but portions are on the smaller side. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's one open fire with sofas but very popular and lucky to get a seat.
In pictures are shawarma without a pitta and sticky toffee sponge and ice cream, yum!
Went last night for a meal. All our food was delicious and well presented. Head chef convinced me to try their chicken and chorizo pasta dish which was just fantastic. The brioche bread and butter pudding was fab too. We've had several meals there since we moved to the area and it is definitely a firm favourite.
The food was to die for. Four of us had the ribs and they were beyond words. The biscoff cheese cake sundae was also amazing. Will be back soon
Love this pub for our stop off on way to Portsmouth Ferry.
Lovely friendly service & the food is Amazing ❤️ Defo worth a visit ❤️
Absolutely incredible for gluten free and vegan (the pudding in the photo was vegan but we also had a gluten free vegan sponge pudding!!) The Sunday roast was amazing, tasted beautiful, the side veg was sooooo good (totally different from your normal boring veg - cauliflower cheese, spiced veg and swede mash). The puddings out of this world. Service fast and friendly. Very covid safe and LOVE the female toilets complete with free feminine hygiene products/deodorant.
Definitely the better end of pub food. I'd happily recommend this put to my friends. They are dog friendly and can get very busy so be warned your doggie might get spooked. All the staff are great. Looking forward to going back.
Nice pub with nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Slightly expensive drinks but worth it for the atmosphere
I actually don’t know how to put into words about how amazing this little diamond of a pub was. The food was home made fresh cooked amazingly well and had absolutely great flavours not one thing was disappointing. The lady that served us was friendly happy and just had a very welcoming happy to help vibe about her. We will definitely becoming new regular customers with ourselves and the kids. Wish I could have given more than 5 stars well done all
From the outside doesn't look much but really nice inside. Will be returning,
Especially in winter when they light the fire.
Excellent staff.
Found this little gem of a pub. Lovely quaint pub, nice decor and dog friendly. Staff were great and very friendly. The food was outstanding. Best Sunday roast ever, lots of meat and different veg and the gravy is amazing. Desserts looked amazing but sadly didn’t have any space left so will just need to visit again and again and again
We popped in here as we were passing having never been before. The food was really nice, as were the staff. Lots of choice. We would have stayed for pudding if there wasn’t big dogs walking around the restaurant and going under our table. Our 5 year old is terrified of dogs and I have a severe allergy of them. We couldn’t relax eating because my daughter was so on edge. By the bar is fine but they shouldn’t be allowed to roam the restaurant where people are eating. I’m sure this is a great find for people with dogs but unfortunately not for us.
Had starters and mains here, Nice atmosphere and good food. Great service as well
Had the Venison pie last night. Quite simply the best pie I think I have eaten in a long time. Not too gamey, tender meat, a tasty, fruity, sauce all wrapped in a firm pastry. Superb.
Lovely dinner at this family friendly Gastropub. Interesting menu and the food delicious - we had the butternut squash soup and the brickie noodles with crispy duck and teriyaki salmon. A complimentary superb nutty chocolate to end our meal - a home made delicacy to leave a great taste and experience. Highly recommend a visit.
Lovely food..Great service...and coffee..
we had a lovely meal last night, not cheap but worth the price for what we got so good VFM, tasty menu choices, decent ingredients, well cooked and good portions. service was very good. there was a quiz night starting at 8pm inside but we ate out in the garden and it wasn't an issue. garden area is tidy and well spaced out with lots of flowers at the moment (and its non smoking, smoking area is outside the front of the pub). if I had to find any slight niggle, the garden chairs could do with cushions. but we'll be back.
I took my family for a meal here last night and was honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and completely on it with making sure everything was ok. The food was superb, we all enjoyed our meals very much. I think we all agreed it would be difficult to beat! We are so lucky to have such a great pub in walking distance for us. Thank you to Koren and all the team for a fab evening
A very good pub with outstanding food and well served beers. Excellent service. LOUISE was extremely helpful. Definitely big enough with spare decor. Even has a garden. Still as good as ever. Food is truly exceptional.
Great pub and lovely food.
