This is a small village pub rather than a travellers refreshment stop. If you can see past the worn interior and are not expecting gourmet food you will find a warm welcome and very good basic pub food. My wife and I enjoyed getting off the motorway and the fact that we very much enjoyed our visit h

An out of the way but proper pub. Hospitable people run it with real ale and decent albeit basic food on offer. The ham with the ham ,egg and chips was very good, as was the real ale and red wine. The wood fire very welcoming. Not sure of the parking possibilities but otherwise a pleasant experience
