Found this pub on google it had the best reviews if I’m honest. A good halfway meeting point for my friend and I (I live in Romford he in Maidstone). We were only 2 of 3 people in the pub up to close but at no time did we feel we had to rush out. Barman was really friendly and helpful and the lady as we left was too. Random find but the first of many visits. Highly recommend this pub.
Wow, how this lovely village pub has changed for the better in the last couple of months, Jacqui and her team have put everything into turning this into a friendly warm welcoming pub to go to at anytime.. We popped in for a couple of drinks Sunday and the place is absolutely full to the brim, buzzing atmosphere. Sunday lunches to die for and good on ya if you can get all the way through one of their baguettes. Well done Jac xx

Excellent lunch here yesterday , what a breath of fresh air Jackie has put into this pub , it's clean friendly and also has a fantastic garden , they also ghve all sorts of entertainment and themed evenings , just st how a village pub should be .
10 of us and everybody really enjoyed there food, friendly staff and a lovely garden for the children. Highly recommend.
I’ve been here a few times - always get a warm welcome here, the bar staff are amazing - friendly and good humoured, and the food is superb - no scrimping on portions, very well presented and very very tasty. Good value for money too. Me and my sister loved it here tonight. We will definitely be back again very soon.
We have just had the most perfect valentines evening ... greeted as we came in ... chocolates on the table ... presented with a red rose ... fantastic food and music playing... wonderful simply wonderful.

Went first time yesterday Sunday 27th August . What a great pub inside and lovely garden . Ate inside , Nut roast , good price and was lovely . Only a girl would write this but toilets are spotless with body spray , hand lotion etc to use if you wish . Sat in the garden most of the afternoon table was cleared of glasses often . The staff are excellent and so polite never had to wait to be served . Definitely go again and have already recommended to friends X

Just been for the 8th time this year. Good locals pub with excellent guest ales. Had the roast pork with crackling and vegetables and Jo had the chilli - both excellent. Never had a bad experience here and it is now one of our regular Weekend lunch spots.

What a super country pub!
We met as a party of 7 for Sunday lunch, having booked a week in advance with Jacky.
We were able to use the disabled parking bay for my infirm cousin and wheelchair access to the pub was possible via the street-facing entrance.
Our table was prepared for us and we were seated and served drinks very quickly.
The Sunday lunch menu is terrific. There's a selection of roasts for both large and small appetites as well as alternative food choices and vegetarian options.
Several of us had the smaller roast lamb dish which was ample. The lamb was extremely tasty and tender and the roast potatoes were crispy and delicious. The dish was also served with vegetables in season which were perfectly cooked and an individual Yorkshire pudding. A gravy boat, per diner, was provided to accompany the roast.
The dessert of the day was also excellent. Home made blackberry and apple crumble served, piping hot, in a large ramekin with a side serving of custard.
Service was excellent too, attentive and caring without being pushy. Jacky was in evidence throughout the lunchtime, serving and clearing as well as supervising the staff.
It was a very special experience and we four old cousins will most definitely return to this super traditional pub. 5 stars for sure.

Under new management, and it shows as atmosphere is lovely feels like village pub should, welcoming and cozy, good selection of wines and beers,food very good and the service team very helpful and friendly and a good variety of food on menu ,dogs very welcome and nice garden area with BBQ and petanque ,and children's play area ample parking new owners are always available for you to give feedback or make suggestions for new things to try

A lovely pub/restaurant. Always a friendly welcome, and the food is delicious. The “over-55’s”menu is astonishing value for a main, pud and hot drink. Highly recommend the steak pie or mushroom tagliatelle when they feature, plus any pud!! A regular lunchtime haunt. Recommend booking.
Food here is excellent done by Josh and his team and the puds are amazing little wonder josh won awards in the past for them
Really nice and "homely" pub, good food and the service was quick. Prices not too expensive either.

The food was very tasty, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere inside was very comfortable. There is a garden area you sit in, but it was far to hot on the day.
