Absolutely beautiful food, lovely, friendly service and very reasonably priced.
Portions were generous (especially as I had just run 58km race so I was particularly hungry!!)
We will definitely go back when we are here again. Homely feel, fresh, tasty food.

Staying in Swanage for a few days and wanted to support a local restaurant. We were very pleased to chose this one. We knew it was only serving a few tables a night that was clear by a notice in the window. I had the Purbeck pie which was a real fusion of flavours well presented and incredibly tasty. My wife chose the Moroccan tagine which was equally good. In short highly recommended for those wanting a great leisurely - don't go if you want mass produced fast food.
Our first time at McKenzie's Bistro and we will definitely be going back again. So glad that we tried somewhere different as we were greeted by a friendly lady who booked our table and we returned 30 mins later to a wonderfully tasty and well cooked meal. We had plenty of space so no worry about social distancing and given plenty of time to relax and enjoy our food and drinks. Very polite, relaxed atmosphere and even supplied more ice without me asking on what was a very hot day. Look at the menu and give this place a visit, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Good choice on the menu and really good food nicely presented and cooked. Service a little slow but allows time to digest between courses.
Very nice place. Lovely Hunters Chicken very fresh. Just two people run this little gem so don't expect fast service. Good value for large well thought out menu. Highly recommended.
Fabulous home cooked food, delicious. Best restaurant in Swanage. My husband and I had dinner at this lovely Bistro last night. Really lovely and reasonable prices. Definitely a worth a visit when staying in Swanage
So friendly. Absolutely loved having dinner here. The food was high quality and really delicious. And the service was very friendly and Elizabeth did everything to accommodate us and make our children feel welcome and at ease. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a mushroom omlette and a cottage pie followed by a delicious Bakewell tart and custard. Well behaved dogs are allowed.

Went to this restaurant in early October,had a very pleasant evening,food was all home made fresh food, and very well cooked,it must be quite hard as it is only a husband and wife doing all the cooking and front of house,they do it very well,the restaurant is very nice,simple and welcoming,would definitely visit again when we are in the locale ,as food was really good.

On a wet autumn day it was a lovely find for a cup of tea, coffee and cake. Friendly staff and quick service. My daughter had a strawberry milkshake which was lovely.
We had a lovely Easter Sunday lunch from them for four. It was delicious and saved us having to cook.
