Well this is truly a GRAND hotel. It has been updated to a very high standard. Stunning tropical rain shower, wonderful crisp linen & great tea & coffee tray. We had an evening meal in the veranda restaurant the quality of food & service were 1st class. Breakfast was in a very modern & bright dining
Perfect location, wonderful views. A very welcoming and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean rooms. Super food at both dinner and breakfast. TIP: Book direct with the hotel as it is cheaper.

This hotel has a small gym and indoor swimming pool. The grounds present the guest with a lush grass terrace with seating area and sun lounges.

I asked for an upgrade to a sea view because of my limited budget as a teacher, and they kindly gave me a room with a view at no extra cost. What a kind gesture from the manager. Such a beautiful hotel and decor with a great sauna, jacuzzi, gym and pool. Total awesome room.
The perfect venue for a seaside wedding. Nestled on a clifftop on the Purbeck coastline this is the perfect place to enjoy an English seaside wedding. The team are super helpful too. The beach is just a 5 min walk down some stairs, perfect for those portraits.
This review is NOT based on a residential stay, but rather on use of the bar and it's gardens overlooking stunning Swanage bay & the small but excellent & well equipped gym with its small swimming pool & sauna for which a week long pass was very reasonably priced.

I wish I remember the name of the senior gentleman on reception to praise him directly, but what a gent! Nothing was too much and really personable. When bumping into one another, etc, and asking how our day was to ensure everything was OK with our room. Felt like the personal service we get when go
We went for tea on a very wet afternoon.
The tea was delicious and service friendly. We had to ask for a second pot of tea, but it was no problem.
We felt quite privileged to have the view of the beautiful bay to ourselves with the rain lashing the windows.

Amazing hotel, with such a goregous view. I stayed here for 1 night with my daughter this week and wow it was amazing. Reception staff are so welcoming and friendly, the room was very clean. This hotel deserves to be called “Grand” . It is very old fashioned, high ceilings, polished wood, fancy glass windows, the works.
The rooms are certainly not modern either, but clean, functional and cosy. The mattress was very good.
The view over the bay at breakfast is epic.

We stayed in an upgraded room with a sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic with self service for the continental bit and cooked being made fresh to your order. The cooked breakfast tasted delicious and was generous. The staff were all lovely.

We booked this hotel so we could spend the weekend in Swanage. I wasn't particularly interested in this hotel but booked it anyway because it was all I could find with a late booking. When I arrived, I found the exterior of the hotel quite grand looking as its name implies. We went to the reception
