I can't thank you enough for doing a gluten free day, please make this a regular option! As a coealiac sufferer I struggle to find delicious, safe fish and chips but you guys have excelled yourselves here! My cod was fried to perfection, with light, crisp delicious batter and the chips were also perfect! I've always highly recommended The Fish Plaice and I will continue to do so - best Fish and chips in Dorset, keep it up guys! And thank you!

This is by far the best fish and chip shop in Dorset. Absolutely love it. Big portions at great prices and top customer service highly recommended

Excellent every time, today was no exception. Friendly staff - despite being rushed off their feet. Generous portions, beautiful cod and chips which weren't too greasy and served in cardboard trays rather than plastic, good price too. What's not to like?!

Been going to this plaice since I was a little girl on our yearly family caravan holidays to Swanage and it tastes just as good now as it did back then! The que is normally out the door but moves quickly but the cod is worth the wait! My dad has to have the pea fritter so would defo recommend that too! Friendly staff and lovely location!! Check it out if you are ever in swanage

Superb fish and chips. Their fish cakes are the tastiest I've ever tried. Fast and friendly service, I always make a visit or two (or three!) when I'm down in Swanage,

Every time we go to Swanage we get fish and chips from here. The fish is fresh and white the chips are from proper potatoes not frozen ones so they are always crispy and crunchy and just taste lovely. I am not a fish and chip person but can't resist these

A great plaice to eat, excellent fish and chips, loving the curry sauce and mushy peas too. Plenty of seating at the front of house or you could sit in the square on the benches. Walking along the promenade eating these fish and chips is the British seaside at its best.

Stopped off here for some food at lunchtime today. We have been here before but not for a few years. I had the homemade fishcake which was £3. It was very tasty and full of fish along with potato. The chips were nice and hot. It was very busy but the staff were on top of it with a couple of servers on the tills and people making up the orders.

Very reasonable prices here for fish and chips down by the seafront. Grab a takeaway fish and chips and go sit on the seafront looking out at the wonderful view whilst eating your food. Quick service and good prices. Would come back here again.

Hands down best fish and chips I had on my visit to the area. Large cod was a good size and the batter nice and crispy. I do enjoy fat chips with a mix of soggy and crispy, these were perfect. There was a sizeable queue so it looked like plenty was being made to order rather than sitting around.

Good chips but the menu is lacking on vegetarian/vegan options.

We asked our friend who lives locally which was the best fish and chips in town and was told the fish Plaice but we might have to queue. When we arrived about half an hour before they close they're was indeed a small queue, BUT WOW they were certainly worth it! Generous portion of chips melt in the mouth batter and tasty flaky fish (the pea fritter i snook into my order was amazing too) I would highly recommend the Fish Plaice and will definitely be visiting the next time I am in Swanage

Great fish and chips. Fresh fish, nicely cooked. The place gets very busy though, suggest turning up early or being prepared for a long queue. Staff were efficient but a bit rushed. As with most fish and chip places we took our food to eat nearby at the sea front. We shared a large fish & chips between two of us, and the amount was fine.

Had the large Cod and Regular Chips, both cooked fresh, took it away as all seating was taken up, chips were lovely but the star was the Cod, lightly battered, flaky, cooked to perfection - but Fish n Chips always taste better next to the sea anyway!!

Amazing fishcake and the best curry sauce I've had. Great location on the sea front by the harbour to get take away and take it to sit by the sea, some tables outside too

Best haddock and chips I've had in a long while. All the staff were happy and friendly. Would definitely recommend. A BIG PLUS for me was the fact they take cash along with card payments. Most of the other restaurants only accept card payment so I will automatically boycott. Remember cash is freedom and I'll only support local businesses offering that choice. Make sure you visit here if you're in Swanage, you won't be disappointed.

Have visited once a year for the past 3 years, whilst we holiday in Dorset. It has always been great quality fish and chips. Couple of tables indoors, but largely a take-away place.
