Lovely little pub. Jodie was so welcoming and friendly, and super helpful. Stayed here to go racing at Newmarket, great location, only a 10min drive. The breakfast was fab, generous portions and just good food. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely ambiance, very relaxed, couldn't ask for more from the hosts. Good pub grub, both dinner and breakfast, managed to cater for 9 adults perfectly and service was flawless. Rooms are more than adequate, very funny all staying in our own personal stable, would thoroughly recommend a visit.
It’s the people that make this place, Jodie and Aaron have recently taken over the place a month ago. They have massive plans to rejuvenate the rooms, which to be honest is needed. But not everything can happen overnight and the main thing is the plan is in place! They’re so kind hearted and can’t do enough for you. I am staying due to my dog being in hospital and they’ve been checking in on me and making me feel so comfortable and welcome. They’ve given my other dog who’s with me a welcome sausage, haven’t tried to food yet (as you can imagine can’t eat much with the stress!) but I just know it’ll be great because these two are putting their heart and soul into the place. Can’t recommend highly enough and I really wish them the best with this new venture, well deserved. I will absolutely be back to visit on more positive terms to see the new rooms when they’re done.

Second time staying overnight at the pub in the converted stables within a month. The rooms are reasonably small but ideally quaint and clean and was perfect for our purpose at a very reasonable cost, with a wonderful management team and employees lead by Aaron and Jodie. They were extremely friendly and helpful and can't thank them enough for their support to us in this charming, beautiful village opposite the village green. Good beers and food and a very friendly reception from everyone down to the cleaning staff.

I’ve now found my new Saturday lunchtime venue. The new landlady and landlord were lovely. The food was really nice. What more could you ask for. Will definitely be a regular. Looking forward to our Saturday lunchtimes

Everything I needed , accommodation spot on and breakfast really good . The pub is a proper local pub with superb food and a lovely atmosphere. Ideal location for travelling in for the Horseracing at Newmarket and have already booked for next year . Couldn’t fault anything .

I love the accommodation. 7 or so stable like cottages with parking. They even have stable doors and the hanging flower baskets really add a nice touch. My bed was very comfortable and the bathroom bright and very clean. A really nice place to rest up.
Good value, clean and really nice owners. Great location if you're going to Newmarket for the races and the breakfast was spot on.
We had a lovely stay for one night with our dog at the weekend, we were made to feel very welcome from the beginning!
We had dinner and drinks which was all reasonably priced, with brilliant customer service! We couldn’t wait to go to bed after a long day and we were not disappointed by the room! It was well equipped, clean and the beds were super comfortable! Especially the pillows!
The landlord and landlady, and the staff are incredible and couldn’t do more for us!

Excellent village pub, really good selection of beers and ales. Really lovely staff proper family pub that caters for everyone. Rooms were lovely too, really well equipped for the cost and staff couldn’t do more for us. Recommend 100%.
Very clean and comfortable bed. Good shower. Nice local pub with wholesome food. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked. Made us and our dog very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful landlord and staff. Overnight stay whilst visiting relatives - would definitely stay again.
I'm so pleased that the village now has a proper village pub again. I visited on Wednesday evening and it was pleasantly busy, with a nice atmosphere and great beer. I drink low alcohol beer so I am pleased that they stock Adnams Ghost Ship 0.5. I haven't had a chance to eat there yet, so I can't comment on the food, but I will definitely give it a try at some point.
