A small museum but full of interesting history about the pottery industry of the area. Also a small exhibition about the National Forest with many suggested walking leaflets. An excellent cafe is available serving homemade cakes, soups and snacks. Spent about 2 hours.
History put to good use. Interesting place. Lots going on all through the year. Great staff
Tells the history of ceramic manufacture in Swadlincote along with some beautiful examples. Also more information about toilets than I wanted to know
Great exhibits from Sharpe's history as well as general local history. Good cafe. Home to Magic Attic (historical records organisation). They're also an entertainment venue.

Popped into the cafe while working in the area. Menu is a little limited but it's the kind of thing you'd expect attached to a museum. Staff were great. Very friendly and gave me a cup of tea as an apology for a delay with my food (I didn't think it had been that long!) Very nice cheese toastie foll
Went to Sharps to look for an old photo of me & some school mates . Found it within minutes. Staff where wonderful. Highly recommend.
