Lovely, cosy little pub with a great atmosphere. Car park is a bit small and there’s limited parking out front, but the pub is well worth a visit. On certain days, including the day we went, the kitchen is closed but a food truck parks up out back. You can take the food into the pub too. The outdoor
Our first visit to the Black Lion at Blackfordby; booked for Sunday roast. It was excellent food, hot and so tasty. Too full for pudding Lovely pub, great atmosphere, and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, we will be going again. Thank you Paula and staff!
Absolutely lovely pub. We stopped off I here with our 2 little dogs after a walk around the village. What a gorgeous place set in a lovely village. Service was friendly and the hot pork scratching from the bar were delicious! Great pint of Guinness too!
Great little village pub, beautifully decorated. The outside seating area is exceptional. We both had steak, really tasty and well presented. Washed down with an excellent pint of Bass. Well worth visiting.
We booked for Sunday lunch but added a few people on at the last minute. The team weren't phased at all and made us very welcome. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Highly reccomend. We will be back!
June 2023 - sampled the new daytime menu and it was delicious. Very generous portions and super tasty. Great value for money. Friendly service. We'll definitely be back. Lovely little village pub. Good selection of drinks.

A lovely friendly local pub with a great atmosphere. Had a recent renovation and a food menu added for during the day, hugely impressed, looking forward to spending some sunny days here during the summer. Would 100% recommend a visit here.
