Love it. Was in on Saturday with my son and dog we sat out the back with a pint and bowl of chips it was nice and relaxing. Very Nice people. Good service. Can't fault it. The land Lord and lady run a great pub.

Excellent carvery, some of the best meats I've had on a Sunday lunch - tender and cooked to perfection, and at a great price too. Huge choice of veggies and accompaniments - 3 types of potato and at least 7 different veggies. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Lovely to see the chickens, ducks and bunnies in the beer garden and an excellent outdoor play area too. Will be back!

Fist ever visit to this pub, went for Sunday carvery, wow it was so good and only £6.95 outstanding value for money. All fresh cooked food and you can help yourself to as much as you want! They also do some lovely home made puddings and cakes. Highly recommended

What a fantastic carvery!! Great Pub with friendly staff and is also dog friendly in the bar. The carvery was absolutely amazing and was my choice against many other carveries in the area. The food was of exceptional quality and the plate sizes were extremely generous. I had a large plate and it defeated me. In fact i ate more veg than meat. The standard would have done me. The prices for the carvery beat any other local carveries. Good parking next to the park. But put your car reg in when you enter the pub. The pedigree bitter was also exceptional quality too. It also has a great outdoor area too and very good for kids. Highly recommended.

Went for a carvery with the kids for Father's day. The food was great. My eyes were bigger than my belly but I finished it. Kids enjoyed playing outside and seeing the animals. Give it a try. Thanks Railway Inn

Was looking for a child friendly pub with a play area to meet some friends for a drink & grab something to eat. Couldn't really have found anywhere better. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff that couldn't do enough for you. Good food at a reasonable price (highly recommend their ice cream Sundaes!). Sizeable beer garden with plenty of seats and a play area with toys to play with. There's also animals! Kids and adults had a lovely time. Just a shame I don't live a little nearer as this would be my new local no contest.

50th birthday party. Room and buffet food supplied. Cheap and cheerful no frills. Well equipped DJ booth which a party guest was allowed to use. Brilliant night.

I attended with my partner and our baby. We had a panini off the new lunch menu and were pleasantly surprised. The staff behind the bar couldn’t do enough to help when I needed to make a bottle for the baby. We will definitely be returning. Looking forward to the next event they hold!

Roll down the tracks to The Railway in Swadlincote, steered by the unstoppable force of fun, Jenny and Jamie, aka the 'Annie Rexic' dream team. This cozy nook is a love locomotive, where every puff of laughter fuels the good times express. The outdoor area is the 'caboose with a view,' offering the perfect pit stop for a pint and some al fresco feasting. Sundays are the crown jewel, a carvery fit for royalty that'll have you shouting, 'Gravy, ahoy!' . Haul yourself to The Railway and let the good times steam ahead – choo-choo-choose happiness and ales aplenty!"
