1st time eating here and was a good experience. Service was fast, and the team was very friendly and professional. I enjoyed the experience even if to eat you get very messy but it's part of the experience. It's an expensive restaurant so don't expect less than 50.00£ per person.
Lobster and crab were very tasty. Clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Amazing seafood. The seasoned chips were a bit too salty, and rice was too dry. But the overall experience was fun and the seafood was fresh and tasty. Price is also good for what you get, would come again.
First time coming here and we absolutely loved it. Fairly reasonable prices, food was delicious and would 100% recommend. We’ll be back.

Definitely a place for people who love seafood. Very simple to order but lot of choice , lot of flavours.
Serving in a plastic bag. All gears for you to dive into seashells which is already cut down in pieces. Using fingers as we must , this is the food for fingers , that's why I like it here .
Staffs come to empty space for you very often. Foods are very fresh and delicious .
I wish there's more space as this is small restaurant. Everything functions as normal but not very comfortable for disabilities or big person. One toilet but there's another space for hand wash , I only disappointed with the water tap, can be good use if they're longer nozzle, so you don't have to squee your hand in the corner to wash .
But highly recommended for whoever love sea food. So delicious 😋
Food was awesome and fabulous (or should I say crab-ulous?!!!). We ordered lobster, prawns, and crabs. You can order them either plain or drenched in yummy sauces like Cajun, garlic and butter, and lemon and pepper. The owner was really nice and friendly and she patiently explained each seafood / shellfish to us. Super helpful when making such a difficult choice! We also ordered the calamari as starter and it was perfectly cooked. Everything is reasonably priced too. Will definitely go back again! Highly recommended!!
We enjoyed the food. Prices have increased since last year but everywhere has. Disappointing that they don't have proper knives and forks - just wooden ones but I guess it saves on the washing. We had the brown crab and the lobster and the prawns. All was good but the sweetcorn was really off this time?!
I am a regular at Fat Crab. Food is beautifully seasoned - although the hottest level of spice is not very hot.
Recently prices have increased, however, in my opinion this is still the best place to have seafood in south London.
Always 10/10 food. Although its far from me, the travel to get here is so worth it. Whole Shabang sauce is the 🔥

These five stars are because I believe in second chances. However, this review has been written days after my visit because of how enraged I was after my visit. My girlfriend summed the visit up best “if this was a first date, delete my number”. So I’m going to rate individual issues out of 0/10 and then provide a description.
Customer service- -1/10
The greeting was none existent.
Waitress was not trained at all, we asked minimal information which she didn’t know.
Utensils/condiments were not provided until way too late 😂 I’m laughing but if you’ve ever eaten crab on a hungry stomach with no napkins, it gets messy really quick.
Food- 6/10
We ordered a wide range of items from the menu. The prawns were lovely. The fried oysters were nice. The quality of the lobster ruined the meal, tasted like some Iceland frozen lobster 🤣 I’m laughing still because for the price It’s crazy.
Alcohol- 0/10
Why? Please why don’t you serve a wider selection of alcohol? It’s just a waste.
Presentation(food)- 0/10
None absolutely none. This trip was crazy. The food comes in a bag. A literal bag. The bags you carry goldfish home with 🤣 #truestory. And we wanted separate extras and all the extras were stuffed in one lobster bag, which is a challenge when you don’t have a bowl 😂 . They are also were cheap on the tissue, it’s a nightmare.

So a meal for two with no hard alcohol cost £93. I left a tip because the waitress can’t be blamed for her role in all of this. You are sitting on a GOLD MINE,don’t screw it up. I traveled almost an hour to be disappointed.

Great food although bag was leaking out onto the table and I expected the bag to be on a tray or something more secure than just a bag. Starters are not great. Everything is battered and deep fried and it seems unnecessary and strange. Fried crab with a crispy shell that you eat is not for me. Battered deep fried oysters are odd. Main meal was fabulous and will be returning.
I'm giving 5 stars because the servers were very patient and welcoming.

Love this place, unique dining experience where you eat the whole meal with your hands and crab is served in bag. No worries about the mess. Absolutely delicious!
The food was AMAZING…Service was 100%…I spent £23.85 and was fully satisfied with how full I was..only down side is the baby high chairs being stored in the actual toilet…maybe get some that fold away and not stack on top of each other, easier to store in the restaurant and not a place where people pee and poop!!
I had the best meal. It was not tooo expensive it was unbelievably filling, the quality of the seafood was just amazing. The staff was super helpful and really humble. Would love to visit again,although i had to travel for almost 1hour and 40 mins, but it was totally worth it
