Lovely place great atmosphere it’s an old pub with a modern twist we loved it!
Been in a few times now for food. Each time it's been delicious. The hand cut chips are to die for!!!!
Tried the triple stacker burger . one of the best burgers i have had in a while !!
Went for lunch earlier. Loved what they have done with the place. Great food at atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended the steak and ale pie.
Christmas lunch today was wonderful lovely food and cracking service well done to all the staff . We’ll be back .
Had two meals now, first last week off the full menu then this Sunday off the Sunday Lunch. Thoroughly enjoy both meals and the excellent choice of beers are a bonus. Will be visiting regularly

The refurbishment of this traditional community pub was long overdue. All credit to The Pub People Co. for what they have done. Now we have a first class local serving a wide range of well kept, frequently changing local beers together with excellent, freshly cooked and reasonably priced pub grub. All credit to Steve and his team for rejuvenating this venerable old pub and bringing it bang up to date. Highly recommended, visit once and you will return.
We came here for dinner and the food was really good, big portions and good value for money. The atmosphere is nice here too. We will return
First visit last night for at least fifteen years. Absolutely lovely from start to finish. The woman behind the bar was lovely n friendly the waitress was. The food was soo delicious. I had the silver hill colliery burger my daughter had hunters chicken Cooked to perfection Most definitely visit again. & recommend
Walked into the bar after taking exterior photos, is it just me who does this? Upon entry i was greeted by Sean the friendly barman and landlord, the local drinkers and their dogs, yes!! A dog friendly pub! You cant beat a dog friendly bar! Unfortunately today the chef is off sick so no food. A pizza is however offered from the local takeaway. There are three ale pumps with a local brewer supplying the goods. They are great brews! All by the same company this week, this is a free house by the way. Decor is fine and toilets are clean and tidy smelling fresh and clean (mens). This is a camra pub and do give the camra discount should you flash your badge 😛
As good as ever, nice pub near the junction 28 of the motorway, heading A38 Mansfield direction, bearing left at the Snipe. Good food, pleasant landlord, what's not to like. Very much a traditional style pub, recommended!

Sizzling Wednesday night, had the Steak very nice, it came with 2 wraps and a portion of chips. The chips are triple cooked homemade 😋. And only cost £8. Go early as they can run out of them.
Lovely food and friendly staff a big thank you to the Scottish gentleman who works there who is very welcoming and friendly. On a Monday do a big mixed grill very nice and good price. 😀
Although it looks unassuming from the road this pub is a little gem - an extensive menu full of home cooked food at decent prices, friendly staff and quick service!
The food was delicious, well presented, that being said... Only when a certain chef is cooking. The other chef I avoid at all cost it's disgusting.
The bar staff are friendly and love a good chat and the waitress tries her best to provide excellent customer service.
The regulars love a good natter and you always feel welcome.
Just that one chef, let's the place down. Otherwise highly recommended and would eat every day if I could.

Had a early evening meal and was pleasantly surprised at the decent quality of the food , Bar staff very helpful and friendly , It does get busy around the 7.30 pm time at weekends so I would book a table earlier than this .
