For a rare night out for our Anniversary we decided to visit the George and Dragon and the evening was perfect. The service from all staff we spoke with and the food was exquisite. We will definately return and highly recommend this pub to anyone. Thank you

Passed this pub everyday for last 4 years, decided to give it a try and the food was superb all freshly cooked, mussels so good, staff very friendly, went again 2 weeks later, disappointed mussels had ran out but that just proves how good they are, will go again soon. My compliments to the chef!

Fab meal tonight, beautiful deep fried brie, mega burger and lovely light batter on the haddock. Very nice, rich chocolate mousse. Owner very attentive and friendly. Shame it's not nearer home.

First rate pub in a village in Oxfordshire on the Cask Marque Ale. a Grade II listed 16th century pub. This reviewer approached the place on a small craft via the River Thames (a very agreeable way to travel the Trail) to continue his travels on the biggest ale trail in the world. The beer? Two local brews were tried, Abingdon Bridge and Rude Not To, were both in excellent condition and well deserving the Accreditation awarded. Worth several more visits.

A really beautiful quaint quiet pub in a beautiful village. Great beers on tap and a proper lovely local vibe.

Great pub in the heart of the village, really good range of beers , very clean bar area and a Greek food van outside as a special food night on the Friday that we were there

Stopped off for a drink on a family walk with the dog. Pub very pretty and traditional, full of locals and everybody was very welcoming. The dog got a fuss too! No food except for bar snacks but I know they do pizza nights.

A good pint, a warm fire, and huge sausage rolls. Top marks from me.

Was served by a wee lad by the name of Sparrow I think it was, who was very helpful and polite, he told me tales of the wild west that brought a tear to my eye and inspired me to quit my full time job at the post office (which I had worked for for forty-two years). The atmosphere of the George was exhilirating and I felt as if I had been reincarnated as one of the twelve disciples. Overall, was a religious experience that I would recommend to all.

A pleasant surprise this place turned out to be. It's a quintessential English village pub, very clean and presentable. The drinks on offer were all varied and of good quality and the beer poured was excellent. It's a lovely place to sit, warm and inviting and has a nice friendly atmosphere. Great pub all in all.

Lovely pub and nice staff. No meals available but they regularly have guest businesses who serve food either inside or outside the pub.

Don't bother to read earlier reviews - the pub is under new management. We arranged to hold a wake there yesterday after the funeral of my mother-in-law. For us the whole experience was faultless and having our own room was very much appreciated. A generous and excellent hot/cold buffet was provided – with a comprehensive variety of tasty food, including dairy free, which was enjoyed by all. Nothing was too much trouble for Phil, Jackie and their colleagues. So, on behalf all 40+ of us, we would like to thank new landlord Phil, Jackie & Co. Liz & Mike

My friend and I were the first in at midday. The landlord was friendly and served us drinks. We sat outside under the large canopy, it started to pour rain heavily but we remained dry! All in all just a brief lunchtime half of "Abingdon Bridge", but very nice and we will be back.

Great atmosphere, always enjoy a drink in the nicely decorated bar areas, or in the beer garden - feels like you're entering another century as the garden is surrounded by old church and the old pub roof. Although food isn't served, before Covid they did delicious bar snacks such as scotch eggs - this pub benefits from not being yet another restaurant-pub.

This pub is relaxed, calm...even upscale. Low ceilings and a warm fire make for a wonderful break for travelers and a cozy meeting place for locals of all ages. It's small but a large outside patio. Bring your dog inside! Always welcome. Too many pints and I end up wandering the church yard next door....where I was lucky enough to be married! This American LOVES this place.
