Tonight we had the most amazing meal, the food was AMAZING and the atmosphere friendly. Nothing was to much trouble and we were looked after, we didn’t have to seek staff out to ask for anything. The prices are reasonable but the food was such high quality. I would highly recommend the kings head as a family friendly place. Thank you.

Family friendly country pub. Serving guest ales to accompany 5*home cooked food. Note the secret batter recipe makes the fish the best around a must to try.

Four of us had a lovely Sunday dinner today. From initial friendly service from Nigel , to Caroline the star chef advising our fussy vegetarian through the choices , to the helpful waitresses it was a great choice . Nothing was too much trouble . Thanks all.

Thanks to everyone at the Kings Head for making our night so special. The food was amazing, especially the jalapeños & as for the mixed grill!! Amazing - huge portions, with our only regret being that we couldn't manage a pudding. Such wonderful people and our waitress was brilliant - I strongly recommend this place to anyone travelling from East Midlands airport as the perfect start to your holiday. - thanks again, and we hope to see you all soon

Kings head has been our HQ for Angling Competitions throughout the year The staff can't do enough for you always find time to ask how the days fishing has been . Always cater for our food needs plus Best cold San Miguel I've tasted this summer . On the whole a great tradition country pub with plenty of real ales to choose from . Well worth a visit whether by car or bike Joff

The King's Head is a lovely historical pub. The food was wonderful. The staff were friendly with great service. It's also dog friendly with tables at the front and back of the pub. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Small/medium 'locals pub', just popped in for a couple of shandies after Sutton Bonington show. Nice friendly welcome, quiet but nice atmosphere (Sunday 4.30), locals seem friendly... 😉 Didn't try the food but it looked & smelt very good... PLUS !! We got to see the Lancaster fly-by whilst here - FAB !! (see vid) Will return when next in the area. Many thanks

New management and staff were very welcoming. Typical warm village pub atmosphere with a little something extra. This was my second visit since they took over. We went for Sunday lunch and enjoyed every part of it. I hope this continues and hope everyone reading this pays a visit to a wonderful little village gem. “Keep up the great work” 👍

Came in tonight for dinner. Welcoming staff, very efficient, our food order was taken & it arrived to the table promptly. Great idea to have scissors on table to undo condiment packaging, wish all pubs would do this. Food was really nice & good value for money.

A good pub.! The food was excellent, quality, service very good. Priced very fair for the quality. Quick an attentive service, even tho it was packed. We didn't book. We sat outside in a very good covered area, the landlord came and put a very efficient heater on without being asked to. Good parking. Level wheelchair access altho it is a small and fairly narrow pub inside. We were very comfy outside, warm, no wind getting in, comfy padded benches and chairs. It was a cold day.! We all had a brilliant Sunday roast. Top marks. Recommended. 😊👍. ps. Dog friendly.!

Warm, friendly welcome. Great food and catered for food allergies. The service was excellent and we couldn't have asked for more. We held a family gathering, following the internment of ashes at St Annes church in the vilkage. The pub was opened up on a Monday for us and we had sole use of the restaurant room. The pub holds significant family connections and we couldn't have been allowed a more fitting environment to celebrate our Mum. Thank you all so very much.

Nice quaint little pub. After an unplanned visit I walked in. The staff were very welcoming even after trying to serve alcohol free 🤣. However the other regular patrons clearly didn't like new people coming into there pub. Getting many odd stares from different corners of the pub wasn't the most welcoming.

Booked on Saturday afternoon with a group of six friends for lunch on 1/5/22. It was very welcoming by all the staff. The food was delicious and plentiful. Would definitely recommend if you are driving past this village. All home cooked, and delicious. We will be booking again when we visit Normanton on Soar with the caravan

Nice friendly pub in a quieter part of Leicester near the leafy New Walk. Pub has an outdoor roof terrace at the back which is nice on a warm day or evening. Good spot to relax and good choice of local beers
