I'm not sure whether it was what I ordered but my meal wasn't as nice as expected. I had the tagliatelle salmone and it was unfortunately tasteless, when I have to add a lot of salt and pepper to a meal its disappointing. The tiramisu was lovely though! So I will be coming again as the service was fab and the people are lovely!

First time visiting, and I will definitely be going back. Attentive but not pushy service, just friendly, old-fashioned hospitality. They obviously care a great deal about the food they produce and do so at a very reasonable price.
The best restaurant I have ever been to. The service is at the highest level and the food will bring great pleasure to your receptors. Lasagna was extremely delicious, and Tiramisu is as sweet and quite gentle. The owner of the restaurant, Adriano, is positive and friendly. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I'll be back!)

I came because of nice reviews, and it was nice, I ordered the pasta carbonara and ravioli. The ravioli were very very nice, the carbonara was nice but unfortunately an hour later my boyfriend (who ordered the carbonara) had a terrible diarrhoea… I had some tiramisu and my boyfriend ice-cream. I assume that he had the bad tummy as carbonara was made with cream and egg and maybe was not cooked properly. I will recommend the place as I liked it, but chef may need to pay attention to that.
Celebrated my wife's significant birthday with Adriano and his team. Everything was perfect from the delicious food, to the service which was the right blend of friendly, informal yet efficient and attentive. I would have no hesitation in recommending anybody to visit and enjoy a little bit of Italy in Sunninghill. Bravo!

Here staying at the Berystede for a business trip and found this jem. Staff exceptional. True Italian family run. Wait staff asked what we wanted for appitiser and delivered exactly it. Chef/owner came to table and asked what we wanted for entree and I explained what and how the perfect pizza would be for me and it was delivered also. I wish I were not leaving tomorrow. So much more I want to try.

Visited May2022 as part of a corporate bash. La Sorrentina is an amazing place. A functional, slightly battered outside, with a front door that opens to the side of the building, the interior is small and cozy, yet accommodates quite a few people, resutling in a bright, lively and noisy environment. The menu is modest, with attention to the major bits that we English believe is the standard Italiian offering (anti-pasta, pasta, pizza, risotto, etc).
The staff are amazing. A family own and run the place. They are the chefs, the waitstaff and the entertainers. The pace of service is really quick, with no hesitation, little reptition and occasional deviation from the menu at the customer's request.
The food is cooked to absolute, sublime perfection. Pasta that is truly al dente. The flavours are strong and deep, with a particular interest in garlic. The spaghetti is particularly good, tossed in garlic oil and chilli oil (I think). The tagliatelle al pollo blends dozens of flavours and textures into a warm satisfying bowl of heaven (the sauce is basically an intensely-flavoured bisque, it is amazing). The bistecca arrives medium-rare, half-dressed in a deep, flavoursome gravy. The risottos balance texture and flavour. The food demonstrates the truism that excelling at the basics, dismissing vainglorious frivolity, is the way forward.
The wine list appears to have been calibrated within nanometers of the menu and cooking style. On this occasion, every wine on this particular corporate table had its own distinct flavour and it met all of the strongly-flavoured foods on the table.
By contrast to the main courses, the tiramusi is light and delicate, yet still carries flavours (even after all of the garlic of the main courses).

First visit and was amazing. The food was authentic and the family serving us were gracious. Defo coming back. Can’t wait to try more of the menu. My calamari and sea bass was outstanding and Colin’s pizza ‘best he’s ever had’, that says something…
What a delightful dinner for 8. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very warm and hospitable. Adriano, the chef and owner is talented and lots of fun. He helped make the evening very memorable and had us all singing to his soundtrack of the evening. Such fun!
I was recently in Italy and to be honest, I missed it, but this restaurant brought me back to Naples. Incredibly tasty food, friendly and pleasant staff. Thank you very much!!!
We came to this restaurant 15 years ago and it was lovley. We never went back . So decided to try it again. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back !!! And it won't be another 15 years !! We both had pasta dishes and they were lovely and fresh and perfectly cooked. Good value for money. We will try the pizzas next time 😊😊❤

Lovely restaurant with very very nice wine hand picked by the owner for each table. We were taken care of but it wasn't too much which made our night!
