Lovely, hot and tasty meal here. We had a mini feast. 😃 We don't come from the north east so to us it seemed like the staff were quite cool and reserved towards us but not rude. I think maybe it's just how they are in these parts. I think each area has it's own personality that needs a respect and acceptance that's all. Thanks all at the cooper rose.👍

This seems to the more popular of the two Wetherspoons in Sunderland and is visited by people of all age groups, there are a lot of university students that head here due to it's attractive pricing and the quality that wetherspoons provide. I particularly enjoy watching football games there with a large screen and a projector and the ambience seems to be buzzing

Excellent JD Wetherspoon, plenty of areas to sit, eat & drink! including a new roof terrace where you can get some wonderful views of Sunderland. Staff are really good and hard working. The wetherspoons app is brilliant too.

Didn't try any food but a nice pint of budwiser on draft went down a treat. Great staff as well.

Place was packed as Pink was on at Stadium, ordered food via app, 50 minutes still no sign but tables around us had been served and finished. I queried this, was told it was a 30 minute wait, i said i had been waiting 50 minutes, was then told there had been an error with my order and I'd have to wait another 40 minutes. I asked to speak to the manager, a guy called Sam, he was fantastic, made our order a priority. Made all meals large/extra and got us a round of drinks, apologised profusely. If it was not for Sam rectifying the problem immediately I'd be giving this establishment 1 star but he went above and beyond in my opinion.

This place is mint! This newly refurbished wetherspoons is fresh, trendy and clean. All of the staff I came into contact with were all friendly and really helpful. All of the facilities are clean and hygienic and the service time was really good. This Wetherspoons is also a Lloyds Bar so they place music on some nights with a small dance area. Part of the new refurbishment meant a brand new rooftop terrace was established and it is the perfect place for a drink in the summer sun!

Bacon was cold and pretty terrible customers in but that’s not the fault of the bar

Been here a couple of times always THE place to go in sunderland. Today I'm here with our lass fir the PINK concert and I had the sirloin steak(medium rare)with chips, pint stella, belinda had the pepperoni pizza. Both were amazing, steak was cooked exactly as I like, pizza was as it should be,cheesy, greasy(in a good way),crispy n floppy. Drinks straight away, food 15-20 minutes. All this for only £24.. 100%.5/5 10/10. The atmosphere is great too
