looking today for somewhere nice to eat lunch. walked in and walked out of some pubs ( always wonder what they are trying to hide when they are so dark and dingy) then came across the peacock.This pub/eatery has lovely decor, clean, nice ambience, and we were given a nice welcome by the staff. The menu had a good choice and apparently this is changed weekly. The prices are really good also 7.95 for a main course or there is a lunch time special offer on for 7 pounds this includes a choice of filling in a baguette or flat bread with chips or salad and a soft drink of choice or they have bar snack bites. The menu is well worth looking at as there was a wide range of choice. we ordered the chicken and we were not disappointed, this came with a garnish salad and chips that were to die for. It was well presented and the service was second to none, the staff were attentive making sure we had all we required, ensuring that we were enjoying the food. We had two mains, three Coors and coke and the price was 30 pound, good value i think for the quality of the food and the surroundings. I would recommend anyone to give this place a try and I am sure that you will not be disappointed either and i will defiantly be returning.
Had my 60th Birthday upstairs a couple of week ago. Couldn't have chosen a better place. The room was lovely & complete with stage & a bar. There was room for a photography station too. Booking was so easy & Amy welcomed us beforehand with a drink when setting up the room. Then the lovely Nathan made sure everything was well. We loved him. Thoroughly recommend booking a party at The Peacock
I have been here a few times and every time I go I can’t fault it, the Sunday dinners are Beautiful as well as all the food I have had here, the customer service is outstanding and the deco is beautifully done I would 100% recommend The Peacock for any occasion as they have a separate function room upstairs.
Lovely Lunch today - great options for vegetarians, chick pea and falafel burger so yummy, great service friendly staff and fab soul music creates a nice atmosphere - my new favourite place in the cultural quarter!
Love this place. Great feeling in there, food is always good and the staff are fantastic - friendly and helpful.

Mam and her sisters visited today, it is going to be their new regular eating and chatting place, they loved their fish and chips and are keen to try other menu items soon!
Me and my mum popped in here for a meal before theatre meal was lovely and friendly staff will definitely go back
The menu is right up my street. Comfort food galore. I got the corned beef hash with a duck egg and it was delish. Ill be back soon to try more food and drinks. Lovely cosy pub ..

Lovely food they fit us in at short notice as very busy with the pink concert going on but they accommodated us the food was lovely from the set pink menu and the place was lovely and clean and reasonably priced as well
Highly recommended! The food was top notch, massive portion, couldn't eat it all. Food, service and atmosphere all 5 star. Will definitely return
This place is a magic venue as our grandson was in a band playing there. What was great was the mixed crowd that came in some young, some in their later years, but all enjoyed the mix of music. I cannot comment on food as I did not eat. This is a well patronised pub & I would go again. 👍👌😊
Never had any food, we mainly go to see the bands and for the quiz. The atmosphere and service are great.
Been a while between drinks for me in the Londonderry, or Peacock, but it did not disappoint! I did not eat here, but the beers were good.
Saturday night music by Wicked Dogz (I think?) was SUPERB!

Great day pre Pink concert staff friendly bar staff worked tirelessly in the throng of customers and remained happy and professional all day food and drinks all very good.
Lovely food and staff my only negative is frozen chips but it's the same everywhere these days only couple of places serve homemade chips now
Didnt get admittedly but from what i saw it looked good and we were offered free pie too!
Nice place, busy, friendly staff. If I'm in the area again will probably visit again.
Its nice to find a place that makes you feel local when you're not.
Lovely little pub. Food was great, had soup and sandwich which was tomato basil. Choice of a few sandwiches, I got cheddar, mushroom and caramelised onion on sough dough which went so well with the soup. Most food available as vegan, also gluten free options for a lot of the menu.
Lots of choice for alcohol at the bar, also serve a variety of coffees. Staff are great, friendly and we're grateful for feedback and gave a lot of info about the food when asked.
Nice big windows letting in lots of light, well decorated and in the centre of town.
Great venue, plenty space for dancing, good view from all angles.. bar obviously...
Great pub with a fantastic vibe focused on live music. (Both free and paid gigs). The lake poets, future heads + loads more. Barry and Dan provide a friendly welcome and are making this a fantastic place. Dog friendly, close to the empire, the minster and other great bars/ restaurants. Recommended andy

Great place for a drink and even greater venue for a party. I gigged here a few weeks back and couldn't have had a better time! Clean and very friendly bar staff. Would definitely go back!
Great pub… happy atmosphere, friendly staff, good beer, lovely food, great venue upstairs for the bands we came to see… now we have found you we will be back for sure 👍
Livingston Rd car park is free after 3pm too 😁
Friendly place. Matt and Hatley most helpful when I first visited helping with directions and putting my dead phone on charge, good quality guinness although quite pricey at 4 90 a pint
An amazing pub! Great staff, very friendly atmosphere, excellent choice of music and the beer selection is on top form. It reminds me of my favourite pub back in York so I feel right at home. Thank you.
