I loved listening to it's history. The manager was very friendly and there was an other woman who was telling us a smuggling history of this pub. It was quiet when we were there but enjoyed having a local ale and chatting with the ladies.
Good selection of beers. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Nice location right on the beach, in summer you can sit outside with your drinks. Very family friendly, well behaved dogs are more than welcome.
The Smugglers is also well known locally as a live music venue for quality bands.
