Great place, food smashing, very good value for money, less than a minutes walk away from home. Friendly staff and all round great place.
Brilliant Venue- Lovely customers- great staff- reasonably priced drinks and fab food.. not to mention the great entertainment . Congrats to Sam and all her staff.

Having been here on several occasions on nights out I decided to come again for lunch yesterday with my three children.
One has autism and one has ADHD so it can be quite difficult however not this time.
It was my 7 year olds birthday and the ADHD was through the roof but nothing was a bother for the delightful staff.
I didn't need to explain their problems it was immediately picked up and adhered to wonderfully.
They were all given lots of conversation and immediately given colour packs to help entertain them whilst waiting for food.
The food was quick and very nice to boot. Even the chef stopped and talked to us.
My son was given a little treat of a cake and candle and it absolutely made his day.
All the kids were given a lollipop on leaving so nobody was left out.
I can not praise the staff enough for their patience and productivity with my little family. Small things make massive differences and it definitely hit the spot.
For us it's not always about the food and drinks but EVERY THING was absolutely spot on.
We will definitely be making a return these holidays.

Our local, has been for years! Always a great atmosphere, fab food and lovely staff.
Fantastic all day breakfast ! We will be back and it filled us up for the day. . . 2 breakfasts for under a tenner!

Never normally right a review but felt this place deserved one. Visited on Monday 5th June with a groupon voucher. At first I wasn’t even sure it looked open and from the outside I wasn’t expecting much but like the saying goes “ never judge a book by it’s cover” inside was spacious and clean and the staff where lovely and super friendly. Never been in before but was made to feel like regular.
Then the food!! What can I say but wow! I’m still stuffed and it was literally the best pub burger I’ve ever eaten. It was so lush that I’d travel back from Durham and pay full price because it was delicious. It was that good that I took time to write a review. Because credit where credit is due, the chef is 10/10!! Thanks guys …. We’ll be back 😋

We popped in for a lunch today, we've been in many times when we're down visiting family, and it never disappoints. The staff are all so friendly, great with the kids. Food is always delicious. Toilets are nice and clean. Highly recommend it. 👌
I'm a regular here and came in today for the summer fayre, what an excellent event!! Lots of stalls and met by the friendly faces of the people who work there who always go above and beyond with their supreme service. I will always love going back to the new derby!!
We were on a break at Roker beach and decided to walk around the local area, we dropped in for a drink and ended up eating a meal too, the food was great, we didn’t wait long for it to be brought to the table, after the meal we sat outside in the smart beer garden in the sun, I tried the guest ales and ended up staying longer than we had planned.
Good pub,decent enough food and the prices were great,enjoyed our visit overall,only let down by a staff member commenting "why are loads of people with dogs coming in today?" when she seen us,not the most welcoming reception we've ever had.

Chris is doing a wonderful job, the atmosphere was brilliant, the food was excellent and served very fast and the drinks went down a treat. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend if in the area.
